Just go to www.emachines.com click customer care, then click Drivers and Downloads at the left panel, after you click it, you can see the title Products and Downloads at the right side.

and in the Product Type: select desktop if your unit is desktop, then select the series type. Finally, select the model of your mobo. After you are finished. click downloads at the bottom. and look for audio and then download the driver

Good luck

Can you use your SYSTEM RESTORE function? You can find it:
Start> all programs> accessories> system tools>system restore.

If this doesn't fix it, I always fall back on Realtek Audio sound drivers. I've never found anything that Realtek wouldn't get the sound working on yet. You can google it and download it for free.

Short of that, it sounds like you will need to restore your sound drivers to make your sound work.

Have an E Machine computer and Samsung monitor - both about 7 years old. Two weeks ago I lost the sound and hope you can tell me my problem and how to fix it. Thanks

go to device manager and see if there is a yellow mark near your sound driver. try to uninstall the sound driver and let windows find it automatically and install it. if you have powered speakers make sure its plugged in. try some headphones to see if you get audio.

Problem with acer aspire t180, SOUNDCARD don't work0.

If running XP:

Two things to check

Open Control Panel and select Sound and Audio. In the new window select the Audio tab and make sure your sound card is selected as the default playback device.

or

Open Computer management, click the plus sign by "Services and applications" and highlight "Services".
Scroll down to Windows audio and check that the service is started.

.Its also possible that a windows update caused this (sometimes malware or virus)

Hope this helps

Have lost all sound.Sound icon says no audio output installed but it has been and was working till yesterday.

You have to first check pysically if the sound card is not pysically tampered with.
If not then the sound drivers might have got corrupted or deleted. This can be due to the user erasing them or a virus activity.

You need to run the Driver Cd that came with the computer.
If u dnt know how to use the driver cd. get to me again and will direct u.
thnx

Check in the Bios to make sure the on board sound is enabled.
If it is you may need to reinstall the Audio drivers.
