Not sure what the entire message is about the bios. Did you add a drive to an older machine with scsi controller for scsi drives? The drive you may have installed (SATA) may not be compatible with the older interface, and the motherboard may not recognize the newer technology. You can still get scsi drives for older machines from places like if you are looking to extend the life of an older server or workstation.

I think my system 32 files may have been deleted by some idiot in my dorm, the system wont load and wont respond to any BIOS either, will porting a system 32 file from another computer of the same OS fix...

Bios comes long before it enters the harddrive. actually to bios has the driver to open the harddisk. so, you cannot ruin the bios even if you through the harddisk away. If bios is not responding, it has issue other then those system32 files. (pc can run without those system32 files if you had linux) If it stucks on loading windows, then system32 file copy may help.

Gateway E3600 (Intel D845PT MB) won't boot after MS Update

This error comes when your motherbord not read properly harddrive.
for that first reconnect both connection to harddisk.Power cable and ide or sata cable.
Change SATA or IDE cable then check.
Pull cmos cell from motherbord for 10 minutes so all settings are factory defaults.
Then when you power up the computer press F1 or F2 or "del" key then you can see bios screen.
Make sure hardddrive detect in bios.
Set first boot device as harddrive.
Then check.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
