Sometimes the Filter screens in the bottom, can become clogged with food particles. With a few simple houshold tools, you can disassemble it and clean the screens.

There is a pool of water in the bottom of the dishwasher...just bought the house, no idea what the problem is....draining issues?

the filter in the bottom of washer iss full of crud.. it pulls out so you can clean it.. do this and get a bottle of dishwasher cleaner and run your washer on a hot cycle with just the cleaner in and it should be fine afterwards

Dishwasher just doesnt get dishes clean anymore. some food left on dishes. there is always water pooled in bottom of dishwasher, but I've cleaned it out well at the bottom

Check your vacuum breaker. Its some times mounted up on the back of your sink. If it gets stopped up it will cause your dish washer to not drain or clean properly. Good luck.

My ge dishwasher will drain but after a few hours

Could be a crack in the tub, bad seal at the pump if water is leaking out onto the floor. If water is pooling inside the DW then a bad water control valve allowing water to leak back into the tub from the source.

Water pooling up in bottom of dishwasher

is there any way to run the cycle from the beginning and listen to hear if the machine is draining at all when the cycle starts do you hear the water spraying on the inside ? if not then you have several different possibilities....clogged drain line, pump impeller broken(sounds like running but no action), water just flowing back to washer the last one's an easy fix just loop the excess drain hose up like a reverse "p" trap on a kitchen sink drain this keeps the water from flowing back to the machine

Water pooling at bottom, bad smell, and now doesnt appear to work

My guess is the diverter solenoid which either pumps water to the arms or drains the unit.  It is attached to the waste line on the bottom of the tup.  It can often be disassembled and cleaned.  If not, it must be replaced.

The dishwasher in my kitchen doesn't seem to drain and it seems pump is not working

My motto is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it.", but in this case we will make an acception. Check the inside of the washer for a float device sitting on the bottom. Floats can get stuck or bent over, make sure it goes up and down freely

Not draining

the drain pump is separate from the was motor and is accesed from underneath the dishwasher that help wash moter is one piece and is replaced as a whole unit and the drain hose comes from the factory making a loop up side the tub a lot of installers cut the ties holding the loop to get more drain line if loop is removed will loose its prime and stop draining or drain some times and not others when you first start the dish washers it drains then fills so you should hear the drain pump rum if something isnt jamming it

Dishwasher did not drain all the water

Your sink drain is clogged and the back pressure is not allowing the dishwasher to drain competely. Do not use a liquide drain cleaner, it will damage your disposal. take apart p-trap hopefully the clog is there, otherwise the line will need to be snaked.
