Assuming you have located the filter at the front bottom of washer, unscrew it anti clockwise, and pull it out to clean.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Samsung WA80V3 leaking water at the drain house and pump filter area.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
It could be that the cap is not screwing on completely because of limescale in the thread and/or the filter is not seated properly. I suggest undoing the cap and removing the filter (if that is practical/possible) and spraying all with anticalc fluid to clean. This 'cure' helped another FixYa customer with a similar problem!
With ours I had to spend a couple of hours gently turning the cap back and forth until it finally released its hold- but the filter did not remain attached to the cap by its rubber ring. More patience, anticalc fluid and all was revealed.
I now run an anticalc clean regularly.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hi Can't remove filter to clean it. Any hints?

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Had the same problem with our Bosch, cap would not even turn!
Suggestions-
pour anticalc/limescale fluid into any gap there is around the cap. Empty the machine and you can switch it off providing the door is open! Then pour the contents of at least 2 sachets of proprietary anticalc powder/liquid into the drum direct together with a kettle full of boiling water. Leave overnight at the very least. The following day run just a spin cycle as then there will be no water diluting the mix. This mix will go through the filter and motor and is likely to help release the filter/cap. If you feel like it, do the overnight again. If nothing else it will ensure that the heater element is clean!

I'm presuming that is the actual filter itself. Had the same problem with our Bosch, cap would not even turn!

Kenmore Elite HE3 - Washer stopped - door locked - did not drain and spin - Getting error message F02

  1. Unplug the washer.
  2. Remove the 3 Torx head screws (located left, center, and right) from the front bottom kick panel of the washer.
  3. The drain/filter/pump is right in front.
  4. You can see a diagram of the pump at http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Drain-Pump/1200164.
  5. First remove as much water from the washer as you can. Place a large towel under the pump - a lot of water will come out when you remove the filter cover cap.
  6. Remove the drain filter cover cap by turning the filter cover cap counterclockwise.
  7. Remove the filter and check the housing and pump impeller vanes for debris (see if you can move the pumps impeller by hand).
  8. Clean the cover cap gasket and the gaskets mating surface.
  9. Replace the filter and close the cover cap firmly.
  10. Run a short wash cycle and check for any leaks at the filter cover cap. If the error comes back, you may need to replace your drain pump.
  11. Replace the kick panel if none are found.

Lint will not come off clothes when washed in my older whirlpool front load washer

Clean the pump filter screen.... Remove bottom front panel see filter housing located next to pump unscrew cap by turning counter clockwise... Clean/remove debris located inside(place shallow pan under housing and remove cap slowly so you can reinstall if pan get full)... Be prepared for some water to leak out when cap is removed(could be up to several gallons depending on how clogged up it is) .

My wife was washing some throw rugs in the HE5t and one of them fell apart in the wash. Clogged up the filter and will not drain. Door is locked so I can't get inside to clean filter and washer. How do I...

hello, You should remove the lower panel at the front of the machine, behind there you will find what looks like a gas cap from a car right next to the pump, unscrew the cap making sure you have plenty of towels handy and remove the filter...empty the water out and clean the filter...re-install the filter trap and you should now be able to open the door. Don't forget to unplug the machine before servicing. Hope this helps, thanks for using fixya..good luck . Mike

Remove bottom panel three screws, unscrew filter cap (have lots of towels cause it will drain), remove filter & clean out. Refit. If you have manual refer to it. Pl rate me if helped.

remember "left is loose, right is tight. So turn it counterclockwise. It will require some strength or a channel lock tool.
