Problem for Camcorders
Generic problem for all Camcorders
Black screen on camera mode
The camera works fine in all playback aspects except when used in camera mode.On switching to camera mode I just get a black screen through the viewfinder just like the lens cap is still on.If I then record ,it records and playsback the same blackscreen I have seen.All the tape and battery info and other displays visible in the viewer work fine.

- There is a known CCD sensor problem with other models. The ZR50mc is not on the list, but starts at the ZR60 and higher versions. I called canon and they will check it for free and fix it if it is a CCD problem.- Guest
