Red ring is not the only problem with Microsoft Xbox 360. This amazing device also has some more common problems like Audio but no video problem, disc read error etc. Microsoft is providing extended warranty only for red ring problem. Means you will have to spend some money to get this problem repaired also if you plan to send your xbox to Microsoft, you will have to wait for 3-4 weeks to get back your favourite Xbox. There is one more option in the form of DIY guide, this guide explains solving No Video problem with step by step instruction, so any novice can fix this problem.

Which lead are you using? If it's the HD one, make sure you have each wire in the correct hole. Try changing them around if not.

Since today i have had a snowy sound On channels 1-5 the picture is there, they are ok on just normal tv and they are ok through a vcr but not dvd recorder.....i have tryed settings, changing scart...

Hi, Unfortunately I am a bit unclear on the snowy sound issue but what your describing otherwise sounds like you are trying to watch tv via the dvd recorders built in t.v. tuner, this is possible usually just with a coaxial connection. ( a cable tv cord ) The out to t.v. terminal on back of recorder must be connected to the in from ant./cable on the back of the tv set. all other connections are for higher definition playback. Thanks for trying FixYa, I hope this helps, and good kuck-Prodzilla

ok make sure all the cables are plugged in properly and into the correct slot, Check all the channels and make sure that it is not on AV If this doesn't work try new cables or scart leads, if you use a scart lead plug it into a differnt location E.G Some T.V's Have more than one scart lead socket

The picture just suddenly disapeared on our tv while we were watching it. There's sound but no visible image.

check the video cable, try replace the cable or interchange it , if the picture ok but sound become missing then the cables is damaged. Or check the large IC resolder the leads.

OK,you need 3 leads,(A/V leads),normally red white and yellow.

So yellow is for Picture (video).go from video OUT (combo) to TV video IN.

Then red and white .... Audio OUT of combo into Audio IN on TV

TV must then be set to AV1 or AV2 depending on which AV inputs you used..

DVD playback no playback

Sounds like the scart lead is not in straight. Scart connectors have the audio pins at one end, and the video pins at the other. If the lead isn't in straight then you often get sound and no picture and vice versa.

Check the connection by pushing the scart lead in securely. (Both DVD and TV end of the lead)

Failing that could be a dodgy lead.
