Question about Brother LS-2125 Mechanical Sewing Machine

Threading lower bobbin

I have a brother LS-2125 sewing machine which I havent used for a year. I am  a beginner. When I try to thread the lower bobbin using the picture and info in the manual it doesnt seem to make sense. I am unable to thread it under any tension and when i try to thread it through the delivery eye it is at the top rather then the bottom as in the diagram. I am not sure if I have swapped the bobbin case with one from another sewing machine ( are they all different?) It does not seem possible to thread it the way the diargram shows and when I try different ways it does not pick up the thread or when it sews it has loads of extra thread on the underside of the material.

    My problem is similar, but I know how to thread the bobbin. The upper thread will not grab the bobbin thread to pull it up through the hole. I have tried everything I can think of. Please help??????

There are some different bobbin cases for different machines but the one you have is a pretty common one with a finger sticking out on top. If you examine the bobbin case you will see a slot on the side of it and there is another piece of metal screwed onto it. This is the tension they are describing.
To thread it properly, turn the bobbincase upside down and insert the bobbin in the case so you can see it. Place your thumb on top of the bobbin and pull the thread through the slot on the side of the case and under the piece of metal(the lower tension) which I described to you earlier.. When you have done that, remove your thumb from the bobbin and pull on the thread. It should have some tension on it.
Next,placing a thumb or finger on the bobbin to keep it from falling out, turn the bobbin case over.
Keeping the finger sticking up lift the lever on the
front of the case and insert the bobbin and bobbin case onto the spindle inside the hook assembly(The part that is in the bottom of the machine that turns when the hand wheel is turned.) Don't worry about the thread that is sticking out.
Holding the upper thread under the presser foot ,turn the handwheel towards you until the top thread pulls the lower thread to the top. Pull the thread to the left of the machine, insert your fabric, lower the presser foot and begin sewing
One more thing , The finger sticking up on the bobbin case will go into a slot on the ring holding the hook inside the machine.
Hope this solves your problem.
Be sure you thread the upper part properly. It should go through the tension, then the take up lever and then the needle. Tension should be set at around 5

Thread keeps breaking and underneath not sewing right

There may be a broken thread in the bobbin case effecting the lower thread tension. clean all parts and determine if the upper thread or lower thread is breaking if cleaning does not help. double check your machine threading and bobbin installation direction.

I have a brother LS-2125 and the thread from the bobbin is not catching and is not being pulled through.PLEASE HELP! i need it for an assignment! :)

Here are some things that may fix the problem:
1. First, replace the needle
2. Next, remove the thread and completely rethread the machine
3. Remove the bobbin, clean any lint or thread from around the bobbin, and replace it.
Try sewing again on scrap fabric.
I hope this helps.

You need to either adjust the tension or ensure that you have routed the bobbin thread properly.

Lower thread keeps jamming even though bobbin case is clean and tension on thread has been adjusted.

Hello,
Here are some things to try.

* Re-thread your machine

* Change your bobbin
There could be a nick along the edge of your bobbin spool that’s catching your thread as you
sew.

Also, before you start to sew a seam, grasp the upper and bobbin thread tails. Hold them back
and out of the way as you sew your first couple of stitches. This will keep them from getting
caught in your machine.
I hope one of these solutions help.
