on the step aerobics on the Wii Fit, it thinks my left foot is my right and my right foot is my left.

  • WiiFitBoy Feb 11, 2009

When using the step class, the balance board misses some steps. Example: I need to step on with left foot then on with right foot. I step on with left foot, then on with right foot and the balance board indicates that I missed the entire step with my right foot. I've had the board since Christmas '08 and now just under 2 months later, the balance board sensors appear to be malfunctioning. I've replaced the batteries, but that's not changed anything. The problem is intermittant, about 3 misses per advanced step-class.

I have the same problem occur spuratically. It does not detect the 4th step in the sequence.  Anyone else have this problem?

I am now having the same problem, it's step up, step up, step off, step off and it doesn't register the last step off. I seems to work ok for the other activities and it has worked fine for the step workout before but it's not working correctly now.

I purchased my Wii Fit on January 26th, and I am having the exact same problem as "Chummer 3." Is this a glitch or malfunction? Should I exchange my current Wii Fit for another one?

Only had my WII Fit for 1 week and earned the Aerobics Free Step. Supposed to do 800 steps in 9 minutes; I easily had that, but the step counter only showed a little over 100. I noticed counter wouldn't move for quite a while, and then jump a couple of steps. The power button is facing awa from the TV and I've got new batteries in it. Frustrating.

Intermittent steps being missed by wii fit board on step aerobics, fine on other games

    Missing every fourth step too!

  • JJBean Mar 01, 2009

I am experiencing the same problem - the fourth step does not register.  I can't find a solution.  I've tried batteries, etc.  Not a complete newbie.  What's the deal?

I've had my Wii Fit for less than 24 hours. I am having the same problem as many of the rest of you. During the Step Aerobics it is consistently not registering the 4th step (removing the foot from the Wii Board). Some of the first steps it also does not recognize, but this happens sporadically. All the other games seem to work fine.

    Hi Nikidom,

Yes, the balance board's power button is always facing away from the TV.
My issue is that intermittently, the balance board does not register all steps.

    Thanks for the suggestion though.

I have a Toshiba Desktop Ext Hard Drive HDWC120XK3J1 for many years and worked fine, but now non of my computer recognize it anymore. I hear that is working but doesn.t show up in the My Computer or Disk...

Areas to check
1. Is the light blinking or stationary.( it has to be blinking for it to connect to your pc)

2. Just see if you can get a different cable and plug the hard disk to your PC.

3. Try adjusting the side of the wire close to the hard disk port area slowly. This can happen because the port area has probably worn out over the years and has got some loss in contact.

4. If none of the other steps worked then you hard disk has "probably" become faulty with bad sectors accumulated over the years. ( this happens to all hard disk ). But don't worry you can still recover if you give ur HD to technicians at a cost and it's time to get a new hard disk.

Aerobic system's how it operates

A sewage treatment system utilizes two types of bacteria to break down waste products, aerobic and anaerobic. Aerobic bacteria need oxygen to live and do their job of breaking down wastes. Anaerobic bacteria need an absence of oxygen to do their work. The first tank of a septic system contains the anaerobic bacteria the second tank and drain field ( or drywell) contain the aerobic type of bacteria. Anaerobic is needed to break down solids but it cannot do the job alone so when the waste leaves the first tank air is introduced to kill the anaerobic bacteria and the aerobic bacteria is used to finish breaking down the waste.
Hope this helps.

9 beeps and only goes backwards. Is it fixable?

Yes. This is from the iRobot website:

Why does my Roomba back up for no apparent reason?
If Roomba starts to back up for no apparent reason and plays the "Uh-Oh" sound followed by 9 beeps, the bumper may be stuck with dirt and debris.
Please try the following steps:
Gently tap both sides of the bumper several times to shake out any debris that might be causing the bumper to stick.
Try cleaning around the bumper with compressed air.

Our wii fit board doesnt recognize some steps on the aerobic step. Also, when you lean right it thinks you are leaning left

you sometimes have to lift your feet, not keep them planted. I did the same thing and i noticed on carpet it gets worse.

When trans. is warm after extended driving the up shifts are very hard. This only happens during extended driving periods. Around town everything shifts fine.

Shift suddenly become very hard. When going from park to either reverse or drive it slams into gear. 1-2 and 2-3 shifts are also harsh. All gears seems to work. Problem may be intermittent: Check Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) for smooth electrical response. If the response is jumpy or erratic at all, replace TPS. Good luck Auto Zone or Parts Source has this part and can be replaced with in 20 min. Both parts store will have the step by step instructions and i believe the cost is around $65.00 for the TPS which is better then a transmission replacement.
