Question about Electric TPI CORP TBS BASEBOARD HEATER THERMOSTAT
I have one thermostat for four electric baseboard heaters in seperate rooms. I also have a draft close to the thermostat, if i keep one bedroom door closed is get very hot in the room. I am simply looking to disconnect one/two of the heaters in the series. i can see the main wire from the first heater to the last as it is not behind the wall but sitting on the floor against the wall in a small plastic tube. any help i can get would be greatly appreciated
After confirming that the heater circuit is de-energized, simply go to whatever heater that you want to disconnect, open the junction box, remove the heater wires and cap them off. Twist the remaining circuit wires together, wire nut, replace the juction box cover and on to the next one. There are ways to install a thermostat at each heater too.
