Go to zebra.com and download the ZUD - (Zebra Universal Driver) - not the Zebra Designer Driver. Run the setup utility and install the driver for the 105SL and choose the port for your 160S. You may have to change the driver properties for firmware versions X.10 and earlier - I do not think that this feature is supported in the Designer Driver. The main point here is that if you can't find support for your specific model, install another model that supports the same features and print language. In your case, the 140XiIIIPlus has thermal transfer and runs on ZPL (Zebra Printer Language) just like your 160.
Download printer driver from Zebra website, also download Zebra Designer label design software (Free). If you just need the windows printer driver best to download from seagull scientific site. Their drivers work better than zebra's one.
The 160S has a different main logic board, which the processor is different. I wonder if you could try and open up the cache. There is a ZPL command for that, which is COY. You can find this in the ZPL programming manual on the website. I can supply the link if you are still in need of a fix.
