Hi, Login to Messenger, go to Tools > Audio and Video Setup, click Next past audio settings and select USB Video Device from the drop down list in the video settings. Apply. You can now Videocall using MSN.

Probebly U have installed MSN on computer make sure before U turn on webcam U completely stop msn. Remove MSN from taskbar too. Even though if U face a same problem than remove webcam software and install it agein and make sure when U install a software nothing else is running in parallel.
Adjust your browser security setting to allow webcams if you have flash micro media you will see the camra security but if you go to internet setting you can ajust the broswer setting from there .make sure that your firewall allow your webcam .then let me know how you did
The first thing to check is if your webcam is working correctly. If you're running Windows XP, click on the "start" button, then click on "My Computer". Now double click on "Acer Crystal Eye Webcam". It should now show a screen with video from the webcam (probably of your face in front of the computer).
After you start Windows Live Messenger, expand the view by clicking on the square on top left next to the red X. Then on the Windows Live messenger window on the right side, click on “ “Show Menus.” And then click on “Show the Menu Bar”. Next go to the Menu Bar on right side, click on Action. Go to “TOOLS” and click “Audio and Video Setting and follow the instructions.

This solution did not help me, my webcam did not seem to be mentioned or my problem.
My built-in webcam is A Crystal Eye webcam built into my Acer, i need to set it up MSN but have no disc to do so.
Any other help i would be very grateful for.
