Question about Lexmark X2500 All-In-One Printer

Lexmark X2500 will not turn on; Power supply bad?

I have a Lexmark all in one, X2500, and I can't get it to come on. I think it is the power supply or AC adapter because I get AC line voltage to it but no DC out. At first I thought it was a connection problem in the back where the power supply goes. Has anyone else had this problem? Do I just need to replace it? P.N. 21G0615

It wont turned on

If you are encountering power problems with your printer, please go through the following checklist:

  • Make sure the power cord is plugged in securely and directly to the power outlet. Power surge protectors can draw power away from the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the power outlet and the back of the printer and then reconnect it.
  • Check the power supply box (if there is one) to see if it is warm or cold, as there could be a defective power supply issue.
  • If there is access to a voltmeter, test the power supply to ensure that it registering the correct amount of voltage (most Lexmark printers have a 30Volt output).
  • Make sure the correct power supply is connected to the printer.

Can not communicate with the printer lexmark x2500 wxp

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your pc. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection.

If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

1. Disconnect the printer from your computer.

2. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.

2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.

3. Delete the Lexmark print object.

4. Reboot your pc.

5. When your pc turns on, reconnect the printer.

6. Wait until your pc fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, then try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

Paper jammed inside printer unable 2 see it and pull it out? its a all in one x2500 lexmark printer?

Leading cause of paper jams is debris/foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed area. Please follow steps below to fix the problem:

1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.

2. Grab a flashlight and look inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.

3. If you're willing and physically able, you may also turn the printer over. Any debris should just freely roll out from the feeder.

4. If feeder is clear, place the printer back on the table, open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.

5. Check the cartridge area for any obstructions/debris in the cartridge carrier's path or the paper path.

6. If cartridge area is clear, close the cover.

7. Rebrick (pull out power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds).

8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print again.

Where can I find a replacement power cord?

If you check on the power adapter behind the printer, you need a 2-prong power cord to connect to the Lexmark X2500 printer. You can check at any electronics shops around your area if it's available. But I would suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support for assistance. They can send you one for free.

There is something missing from back of the printer. from the user manual I believe that it is some time of power source that goes in this 1 1/2 x 3 " space. there is a plug right above this hole. Help

I believe you are referring to the power supply. It is a black box that plugs in to that hole. The power supply is where the power cord is plugged in from the power outlet in the wall. If that's missing, I strongly advise you to call Lexmark. They can better assist you with that request. You can contact them at 1-800-LEXMARK (1-800-539-6275). Hope this helps. If you need more assistance, place a comment so I can get back to it. Thanks.

Lexmark x2500 won't power on ,sorry but if this isn't clear enough, don't know what else i can tell you,it has nothing to do with os,there is no power going to printer, even after swapping outlets, p/s bad?...

Thru the lexmark website it looks as if the power supply may run around $15.00???

Problem is that we don't know whether the power supply is bad or the printer itself is bad but at least you have an option.

Printer not working at all

remove the surge protector, plug your printer direct to the wall outlet and try to power on again. try to apply a bit more pressure on the power button or try holding in down for 5 seconds, temporarily unplug the computer connection too.... if it still will not power on, try a different power cord.... if it still will not turn on with a new power cable, then check your warranty status with lexmark, this one needs to be replaced or repaired
