Im having problems finding half hieght agp card for my e 4000 gateway

Hi.

Yes you will need a half height AGP graphics card for that tower. You can purchase such card from places like eBay or Amazon. I suggest you get something over 128MB. Click on the link below for an idea.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=half-height+AGP&_sacat=0&_odkw=hp+6735s+keyboard&LH_BIN=1&_sop=2&_osacat=0&_from=R40

Good luck and regards.

Acer aspire says i have no sound device

Hi Leslie,

XP Pro doesn't have its own software for the sound card in your Acer.
This software is available from Acer's website.
Click on the following link to download the sound card software for your PC.:http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/Audio/AUDIO_Realtek_5.10.0.5265_Xpx86.zip?acerid=633645769400615248&Step1=Desktop&Step2=Aspire&Step3=Aspire%20T180&OS=X02&LC=en&BC=Acer&SC=PA_6
Take note that this is a zip file which means you may need an application called winzip to open the sound card file. Winzip is available by clicking http://www.winzip.com/downwz.htm if you cant access your downloaded sound card software.

Once you have installed the sound card software you will have your sound card installed and should hear sounds from a set of multimedia speakers.
Don't hesitate to message me if you need any further assistance.
Best wishes,
Graemevm

My PC is a Gateway E4000 and has no multimedia audio controller and ethernet controller so sir please what do i do

If your PC is the above (Press link)

http://www.ehow.com/about_6511670_gateway-e4000-pc-system-information.html

It has a Sound card.

If you need a Ethernet controller you have to buy a PCI one (there are cheap) , open the PC case
and place it to one PCI accomodation.

My computer doesn't see sound devices ! AMD ATHLON DUAL 4000 +

*First go to your device manager, right click my computer> properties> hardware> device manager.. Look for any yellow flags. I am quite certain your sound driver will have a yellow flag on it.

*If there are NO yellows, this means windows isn't seeing your card at all. Definetly a hardware issue. (Ensure whether Plug & Play devices are started in services)

*If you see a yellow for your sound card your driver is messed up. Hopefully it doesn't say "Unknown", it should say something like Creative Sound Blaster Live (WDM) or something. If it does say something like Creative, or, Nvidia, or something, chances are you can uninstall the bad driver, reboot, and wallah.

However, it is not always that easy. There is a good chance your sound card is onboard, and some drivers for onboard sound cards are a doozy. Please let me know if this works.

Adding a graphics card

Hi,
Most motherboards detect an add-on graphics card automatically so all that's required is top plug your monitor into your new graphics card and install the software that comes with it.

Best wishes,

Hi''

Please specify your computer specs, mainly what "Operating system are you using", What type of PC do you have...

for example

Acer Veriton 7900
Windows XP service Pack 2
__________________________________________________
Secondly, what type of sound card do you have ? Is it an "onboard" sound card, or a sound card that you or a technician installed via PCI slot
__________________________________________________
One way to specify your "sound card vendor" is by looking on your motherboard. There are various chips on your motherboard that have certain "brand names" imprinted on them. Sound cards these days(standard), can either be : Realtek, Cmedia, Avance, Envy or Sis and maybe Intel. So take a closer look on your MB and state which Vendor it is
__________________________________________________
If you are running Windows Xp Professional you can download the following http://www.halfdone.com/ukd/UKD_14-20_Beta.zip
Then unzip to a folder, extract the Lists which are also in a zip format to that folder. Run the program unknownDevices in that folder. Locate and find for "unknown device" or "PCI Device" or "Unknown PCI Device" OR for one tab that is expanded already, stating information that it is a unknown device. Then, if you expand that tab even further, it should tell you what kind of sound card vendor it is. This is the time to go to the vendors website and download the l8est driver.

Please let me know if one of the solutions mentioned above has worked...

Jewel Logic

Sounds like the graphic card does not support the game. Game is old and the graphic card may not go back that far.

The readme.txt file should tell U what is required for graphic resolution. U may be able to go into the display properties and preset the resolution manually.

If U are running XP or Vista, forget it, U need newer game. Jewel came out around ME age, which is a DOS based (16 bit) os. Game runs on 98, 98SE, NT, maybe 2K.
