No beep code when starting pc and no video also have to turn pc on from switch at the back.

Yes ensure to switch power supply at the back then press start button ,as you say there's no booting and so it really can't show video. Sometimes PC's should have maintenance , what i mean is checking board socket and hardware connection .

I got Kingston DTI/64GB, when I insert in my PC - having windows XP- message occurs for FORMAT - I click on OK button, Format window open - Capacity shows 62.4GB, System= Nill, I select Quick format option...

first try to format in command line
Start
go to RUN
Type CMD and press enter key
in command window type format H:/fs:FAT (H: stand for my Pen Drive name change it if you have different)
press enter key
yes to all message appear
now you formatting start

if not so try this: 1000% work
download any low level formatting system and format from that or you need 3rd party formating tools like HP format tool to format RAW to FAT,

if still not work it mean your PEN Drive got Damaged and you have to purchase a new one.

Do vote me if this help you.

Cant boot, get window saying restore last good known config etc

If you are asking how to re-install Windows XP, you must boot from the cd to do that. Either change your bios settings to boot from the cd first or immediately after the POST screen press F12, then choose boot from cd and when directed, press any key to boot from the cd.

If you're asking why your pc isn't booting there are many reasons it might not boot - virus, driver problems, hardware failure. Need more information if that's your question.

Windows booting problem

hi sunnyh, when you start up the PC start pressing the F8 key every 2 seconds. A dos like window will load. At the bottom of the list choose, last known good configuration. (win might load the last good configuration) it's worth the try.
If your PC still does not load windows than repeat the above, this time choose, Disable automatic restart on system failure.
This also might allow windows to load (hopefully).
A system that starts going into this restart loop happens for many different reasons. Most common reason was a program that was last installed just before PC was restarted. Second most common reason for restart loop. Added new hardware, bios changes & windows boot files corrupted. If you did install a program, uninstall it. If you were in your bios & made changes, reset the bios. If you flashed the bios, go back to the old bios version. If you added new hardware replace with older hardware.
To fix Windows you may have to reinstall it. Do not run format or you will loose all your data. Even system restore CD's allow for a win reinstall without a format, however if the cd does not allow you to reinstall win unless you do a format. Than windows startup files are too screwed up & you'll have no choice but to format.

All you can do is try the above & cross your fingers.

Good luck!
Mike

Try using a spare memory. Is the cmos battery ok? Your bios chip may be defective. Are their any buldging caps on the mobo?
