SOURCE: MOTHER BOARD NOT FITTING

Well i had the same problem... i got a new pentium 4 board but it could not get fitted in the casing.... so what do you do is take the casing to a welder.... he will cut off a piece of metal which is resisting the mother board... The maximum loss is that 2 slots of CD ROMS will become obsolete and i think you dont need that....so have fun

Will a mATX motherboard form factor fit into a case that has a ATX motherboard form factor?

it really depends on the compatabilty of the tower ... some towers can hold matx atx itx motherboards the way to find this out is to open the case and see if there are more ways than one to configure the motherboard stand offs most towers have a blue print of sorts etched into the metal next to the holes and it will say matx or atx or itx some are lettered like atx a-9 next to the hole or you can make a template by marking the holes from the mother board to a piece of paper and put the paper in the tower to see where the holes line up hope this helps

You need to look in the handbook that cam with your motherboard for a section labeled 'Connectors' or possibly 'Connections'. There will be one USB 2.0 type prong on the motherboard that is designated for case connections [Power LED, mini-speaker, etc.]. The manual for the motherboard will indicate what order and where on the motherboard your connectors should go.
Good luck with your build. :]

It has a front lcd temp indicator and a bunch of wires to connect to the mother board. I have no manual and I am confused

If you can describe the problem by listing the wore colours and any lettering on them, I might be able to help. Also the motherboard you are trying to connect to as I need to find out the Fpanel pinout

To help you initially.

1.) Wires that are grouped in a series of Red Green white and black are commonly the USB connectors which will go to the uSB headers.

2.) Black and white wire coupled together as a 2 pin is usually the power switch which goes to the Fpanel header

3.) Any wires that appear to be fused in a plastic type sheath are sensor wires.

I'd first try tracing the source of the wires and see where they lead on the front panel, note these down and repost

Hello Sir, hi, the wires on your casing are usually labeled, like in the picture below: cyberdyers_0.jpg

the power led green wire goes to the power led + and the white goes to the - . Now the HDD + goes to the HDD + the red wire, power switch can be interchange, same as the reset switch.

Hi, you will need to look inside your PC case at the mother board to identify what type of motherboard you have. Once you have this, either come back to me with the details and operating system for me to help you or do google seach for your drivers.

Wont fit the backport of the case

Today, the cases come with a 'generic' back port that pops out for specific motherboards. The Asus board should have come with a metal plate that replaces the case's version, and lines up the ports.

To fix front usb and audio to the mother board

Consult the user manual for the motherboard. It should have a layout diagram showing all connections. Or go online to manufacturer's website and download the user manual there. Also, using a bright light and magnifier you may be able to read the small print on the motherboard by the connectors.

Icute to motherboard wiring

Hi, on the edge of your mother board closest to the front of the computer, you will find a double row of pins. Use a torch and if needed a magnifying glass and study these, you will find they are labeled the same as your cables from the case.
In some cases the plugs are set as a 3 space plug, if you find one of these that wont fit. just split it. If you plug the LED wire back to front, don't panic it won't hurt they just wont work. The power and reset are not pole sensetive.
