I had the same problem with a Samsung Trance. Holding the talk button during the search phase worked for me.
button down for about 4 seconds.. The light should blink 2 times and then stay on to add device to your phone once connected light will go out...Hold button down again light will blink 3 times and go off...........

This is what I tried so far...
Make sure your earpiece is compatible with your phone.
1. Charge your earpiece.
2. Go into the menu on your phone.
3. Go into Settings.
4. Go into Connection.
5. Select Bluetooth.
6. Choose Handsfree.
7. You will either see Motorola H500 listed (if you previously synched) or you will have to choose [Look For Devices].
8. While it is looking for devices, hold down the "Call" button on your H500 (it should have a phone icon on it) for two to three seconds and then let go.
9. Your phone will tell you when it has connected to your headset. The reset/bond code is standard for most Motorola phones: 0000
But still is not working...
cannot find bluetooth
I get power to the BT just fine but the phone (LG Blackberry) cannot find the device, the BT H500 I am trying to use is kind of old and could be the problem but I don't know how to test it to make sure, please help.
