WARNING: Before you start troubleshooting remember that you are dealing with electricity that can KILL. http://www.kitchentablecomputers.com/static.php - rules Volume problems on computers often happen for a variety of reasons. Volume troubleshooting, however, is one of the easiest problems to troubleshoot because there are only a few things that usually cause the problems. Usually the problem isn't even an error but just merely an adjustment that needs to be made. Test your speakers. This is the first thing you should check if you can't hear anything coming out of your computer. First try turning up the volume know and make sure you are in fact turning the volume knob and not a tone or balance knob. Make sure the speakers are completely plugged in to the wall and the computer. Test with another set of speakers or headphones after you have done this. Check the computer volume level. On the taskbar is a volume icon, which usually looks like a small speaker. Click on the icon and turn the volume up. Make sure it has not been muted. Double clicking on the icon will bring up a panel of several volume controls. Try turning up the volume on each slider. Go to Control Panel and choose "Sounds and Audio Devices." Under the volume tab, click speaker volume and turn up the level if needed. Turn up the application volume. Most programs that use sound have an additional volume control just for that program. Find the volume control and turn it up. Usually it is located in the lower right or left corner on the program, but you may have to search for it. Troubleshoot the sound card. Download the latest drivers from your sound card manufacturer's website. Go to Control panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager. Click on "Sound, Video and Game Controllers." Click on your sound card, select the driver tab and then click on "Update Driver." Point to the file where you saved the latest drivers from the website. After this, restart your computer. The speaker plug/outlets is usually at the back of the computer or if its a laptop on the side
you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make

sure the connection is good with no dust as dust causes static electricity clean your computer of dust using a can of compressed air or fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is

no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit

dust causes static to build up in a computer If this doesn't solve your problem, try reseating the sound card into your computer. Hope this helps.

1. Check out the volume levels in the sound settings through Control Panel.
2. Check and make sure if there are any buttons or scrolers on the headphones where you can adjust the volume.
3. Try to reinstall the sound drivers for your sound device.

There's something wrong with my speakers i cant hear anything

Are the speakers powered on? Make sure there is no power switch to turn them off or on. Then check to make sure the volume on the speakers is turned up if there is any. Next check to make sure the speakers are plugged into the green hole on your laptop, usually it will have a picture of headphones above it. Then make sure in the bottom right hand corner of your screen that the sound icon does not have a red X on it. If it does have a red X on it, simply click it and unmute it.

My computer problem is no come to sound ,,,,

Make sure your computer has a sound card.

1. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager.? Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
2. Expand the Sound, video and game controllers category. If a sound card is listed, you have one installed. If no sound card is listed, You will need to install one.
3. If there is a yellow question mark next to the name of the sound card, there might be a problem. Right-click the name of the sound card, and then click Properties.
4. Click the General tab, and then look in the Device status box to identify problems with the sound card.

Make sure your computer has a sound card.

Make sure your speakers are correctly connected to the computer.

Make sure that the speaker volume is not muted or turned down too low.

Make sure your headphones are not plugged into the line out (headphone) jack of your sound card or computer (unless you want to be listening with headphones rather than speakers). When you plug in headphones, most computers automatically cut the sound to the speakers.

Cant get sound through my headphones when i plug it in my computer

You need to check the headphone jack on the case before you try to use it again. It may have a wiring problem, Shutting down the computer is a serious problem and could do a lot of damaged to windows program and you computer. The way to reset the case headphone jack is to go int the control panel and search for the sound control device. go to the advanced options and put in the type of device you want the sound to come from. There is also the possibility that the headphone jack was damaged when you had your problem and will no longer function correctly. Hope this helps you with your problem.

The format shouldn't have made a difference with the system volume? Try to Reboot PC, and when windows appear, hit F8 key constantly until you here a beep. You are now in the Repair/safe mode/system restore. This is where you need to perform the system restore. This should work..
