Re: the picture on my LCD 52" 650 series TV makes...
There is an aspect ratio setting in your menu options. You will have to change the aspect ratio so you get a normal screen. This will most likely fix your problem. If by slight chance it doesn't, you will have to remove the back of the tv and find the manuyal adjustments for it. All newer Tv's have the aspect ratio/picture change setting.

No picture with sound is commonly problem of LCD TV. The cause of that problem is the back light is not working, because the back light inverter board is deffective, maybe there's a blown surface mounted fuses cause of shorted transistor, transformer or bad capacitor. That the coomon problem of no display LCD television.Hope it will help you.Thanks..
It seems like you're expecting a 16:9 ratio picture. If you're sending a 4:3 ratio signal to the TV, you'll get a 4:3 ratio picture. An option would be to use the remote and set the TV to a 16:9 ratio picture, but that'll stretch the picture and make everything look fat. Another option would be to use the remote and zoom in, but that'll chop off the top/bottom of the picture a bit. Either case would be annoying. Some make matters even more annoying, some programs are broadcasted in a 16:9 ratio signal, but the actual picture is really 4:3 ratio. So...... as long as the pictures don't look skinny, fat, or chopped off, just accept it. If you're really that picky, just watch new Blu Ray movies only.
The tv have 2 long LCD inverter boards are dead. These 2 long LCD inverter boards help the tv LCD screen panel to have a backlight to produced a picture. That why u have audio only no video.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy those 2 long LCD inverter boards for the replacement.
Yes,those white hard residue are glues. The fuse just don't blow like that. The power supply board could have more trouble than that.If u replaced the tv fuse and tv still don't work.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power suppy board for the replacement.
Search the remote for a button that says "format" or "aspect ratio" or maybe "display." You're looking for 4:3 aspect ratio. This will probably give you bars on the sides of the pic and is usually only adjustable on analog.
You may only need to change the format for the picture. Check your owners manual for how to change the picture format, or aspect ratio. The tv may be in the zoom mode the way you describe it. There is likely an option in the menu to allow the unit to automatically set the format based opon the signal being received. Only some of the programming you see is actually HD. The Super Bowl was broadcast in HD and has a 16:9 aspect ratio (width to height). When this set is adjusted for a correct HD display I'm confident you will be impressed. So I believe this is a matter of a customer setup with the remote. If I had the unit in front of me I could offer more detail. I hope my general opinion helps.
