I don't know if you receive my email but I read your solution and you really sound like you can help me. I'm not sure how the fixya live chat really works but I did a live chat hoping to fix my fridge and it did not work out. My fridge is not cooling. The freezer and ice maker is fine. I have a Sub-Zero 611/O. It was already in my apt when I bought it 3 yrs ago. On the serial number tag say manufactured on Jan 2002. Here's the story. For 2-3 months the fridge was making frost inside on the left side of the rear panel half way down from the top panel. The frost size was about 6" in diameter and 1/4" on the center at its thickest point. It was round in shape. It would not cool to 34 deg. It stayed about 39 deg. Then the service light began flashing for a few weeks. Then we had a black out for 22 hrs. A few days later there was no more frost and the temp was 47 deg. I vacuum the condenser a couple of times, turn on/off, unplugged and even waited 30 min in between as per the manual. The service light disappeared only to return flashing two days later and now it reads 00 deg for the freezer, ice signal as on, 50 deg and then flashes 21deg and EC. I would like to know if I can fix it myself or if it is worth spending whatever money with a technician or simply buy another unit. Please advise me on the best option. Than you.

Re: Sub-Zero 611/O not cooling
Sorry but i do not have experience with hte sub-zero product line, I can reccomend to you thought that it is a very expensive piecce, and replacing it ( with another sub-zero) may prove to be a more costly option then the repair, Generally a Qualified subzeroe technician, (at least inmy area) is strictly a SubZero, specialist, so although you may pay a premium for the service it will be backed by the manufacture, and only 6-7 years old i cant imagine a problem that would justify replacing the unit.Althougth Im a Do-it-your self advocate, there are somethings that are generally best to leave to a professional opinion. This would be my reccomendation
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. goodluck!

I've noticed the same problem myself. I log in through Windows Live Mail and on most emails I have to mark them as safe in order to use the hyperlinks. Well Ive marked the ones from fixya as safe and I still can't use the hyperlinks. I too have to take the long way around.
