Duraband 19'' TV shows one horizontal bright line ONLY

I think you may have a tv tube problem...

Either bad capcitors, or (if you're lucky) the color wheel needs lubed up. Probably bad caps.

Your TV is SD as it says on the front. It displays 480i (480 horizontal lines in an interlaced refresh pattern). It will downgrade 1080i or 720p to show the input as 480i.

I had the same issue with the white horizontal lines with myCanon Powershot series camera too. When taking pictures, I get the horizontal lines. In daylight, I almost cannot see the pictures because it gives me very bright output. In darker areas, the picture can still be toleratedbut white lines are still there. Although when I am taking a video,the quality is good.

I was able to read that there is one part insidethe camera's mechanism that is faulty. Its a CCD problem. You should bring this to a CanonAuthorized service center and they should replace and fix the faultypart, free of charge. I got my Camera fixed for FREE! I was able to do macro shots again.Trust me and go to canon. What I did is to print this advisory fromcanon itself. And show it to them.

As part of their advisory:

This should be repairable. It may be the LVDS Cable or the Main board problem. The only other problem is the T-Con Board.

The shutter is stuck. The electronic "noise" created by the solenoid trying to move the shutter blades causes the lines on your pictures. The bright outdoor pictures is due to the fact that the shutter is jammed open. You can try tapping the camera on the sides and bottom. This may jar the baldes loose. Failing that, you will have to find a shop that can obtain a replacement lens assembly for your camera.

Thjeres a problem with the screen voltage driver voltage capacitor or the crt is going bad. have the shop test the b+ on the crt board first off . then remove the crt board and see if the voltage comes up. If it does the capaicitor is bad as it can take the load. But remeber theres extremly hi Voltage inside these sets so its never a good idea to try to do this your self unless you have the training to deal with HI Voltage and the proper saftey and test equipment.
