Question about Honeywell Electronic Programmable Heat/Cool Thermostat - CT3300A100 Heater
I have a 3 year old Gibson furnace. It's very noise and it's always cycling on and off . It fires up for 4 minutes and cools down air for 3 minutes. This is the cycle 24 hrs a day. It never stops. Is this normal? The current temp, outside is 9 degrees and the inside temp is 67 with the thermostat at 75. I replaced the thermostat and has not resolved the problem. Can anybody help or provide advice .
Have you had furnace cleaned? Have you changed filter or took filter out and try heater? Have you checked return grill to make sure you don't have anything in front of it. Return grill or duct could be blocked or two small. Blower motor could be going off on thermal overload. Does the heater do the same thing when it is 20 degrees outside. The other thing it could be is furnace is not big enough.
Good luck let me know what you find out
