Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console
There is a chance that the plastic track on the loading tray either has a break or is out or time with the load gears. Also located in the front of the dvd assembly, there is a load belt , sometimes after many hours of use, this belt becomes stretched and needs to be replaced. A knowledgeable technician can usually fix this problem for about $40 if the load tray does not have to be replaced. Also, if you decide to attemp this yourself, clean the laser while the unit is apart. Use eiher ispropal alcohol or acetone. Be careful not to spill any chemicals on the plastic. Scrivitron
