Is it a flip-down face, if so the contacts often become dirty, or out of line.

Ever since I took out my battery and put it back in the radio hasn't work. None of the buttons work except the volume when a cd is in but nothing else works. It's a pioneer radio deh p7500mp.

Looks like it's the same thing that happens when I remove the power cord from my home hi-fi system... when I reconnect it it goes crazy on display mode till I reset the clock. In your case, the obvious difference is that it may have lost the clock time and memory presets.. see if retiming the clock and reprograming the tunner presets does the trick.. also check the memory fuse...usually the one on a pink wire.

I've had this deck in my truck since I got it, and all of the sudden none of my buttons work (only my volume control) and then a couple weeks after that, my amp is not responding anymore either. What does...

Hi Ethan,

I had the same issue with this deck, turned out the push-button for the source switch had bust and wasn't breaking contact properly. Replaced that and the face is working nomally again. Not sure about the amp issues though, I don't use one.

Cheers
Gary

Need help installing DEH-P7500MP in 79 chevy truck. Do you have any solutions?

The best way is to get an installation kit. It comes with the surround to put the new stereo in, and install where the stock stereo was. It also has a wiring harness in connect your new stereo, and a plug that will plug into the factory radio plugs.

definitely a heat problem. There is a chip (or set of chips, perhaps audio output chips) that work fine when cool, but when they are hot they start to fail. Common problem with IC's. Heat is not a friend of these devices. Time to get it repaired or get a new one, depending on cost of course. Also, do you have an amp attached? Perhaps the amp is the device with the failing IC's.

This might be casued by dust and dirt on the lens. If you can get the top off and get at the laser then a small paintbrush would clean it up nicely.
