Magellan 4040 went bezerk when running a routine route.

While running a routine route to an address it went by itself to bluetooth,  I cannot get it back.  It will open but not respond to touch commands.  Is there a reset?

I attempted an update to the map software version 2.62 or 3.61 Rel1. Something went wrong and the unit will now power on but only to the blue screen with Magellan logo and the black bar on the bottom. I...

run the update again..if it wont take it or wont see the 4040, it gets a little hairy to get them running again, but it can be done.

I put in an address in my Magellan Maestro. But it shows me the directions to a previous destination.

you still have an active route...tap the map screen then scroll over to turn to next page...in there it says cancel route...cancel it then start over.

Have a 4040 maestro magellan will not get off the magellan screen

if this just happened, and you have not tried to update it (sometimes the update causes this) then power the 4040 on and once it finished loading to the blue screen, using a paper clip, depress the reset switch on the left side and let it restart (little pinhole on the left side under the usb port)

if you need further help, just reply to this post.

I have a Magellan Maestro 4250 and touch screen not responding

Yes. The hard reset is the little pinhole on the left. Just use a pin and poke it. It should bring everything back to factory default and all saved info, addresses, routes etc. will be deleted.

Magellan Maestro 4040 GPS

try to press the reset button on the left side next to the usb port with a small paper clip or toothpick and see what happens and chk on the magellan website to see for firmware update if it is do it and plug in powersupply and the usb and leave it alone and let it reset a few times until it says to unplug from the usb .also make sure it has a flash sd card in it so you do not lose your addresses.let me know what happens.

New magellan maestro 4040 doesn't work

It depends. The way most Magellans work is that when you begin putting in addresses, the GPS looks for addresses that match it, and greys-out numbers and letters that don't match. If it stops on one address you're trying to put in, it's possible that the address is not in the memory.
