How to change password Ubuntu?

Go to Administration and then user accounts. If you cant find administration just search for user accounts and it should pop up. Once in user accounts you might need to unlock it by clicking on the unlock button on the top right, if you do please unlock it or you will not be able to change the password. You can unlock it by entering in an administrator password. Then highlight the user account you want to change the password on. Then click on the password then fill out the menu and you should be able to change your password.

Hope this helps if it does please mark as solved.

"Unlock the super secret Administrator account for vista"

Deep inside the bowels of Windows vista, there's a secret Administrator account, and it's different from the normal administrator account you most likely have set up on your PC. This Administrator account is not part of the Administrator group. (Confused yet? You should be.) It's a kind of superadministrator, akin to the root account in Unix, and by default it's turned off and hidden. (In describing this hack, we'll always use the capital "A" for the secret Administrator account, and a lowercase "a" for a normal administrator account.)
In versions of Windows before Windows Vista, the Administrator account wasn't hidden, and many people used it as their main or only account. This Administrator account had full rights over the computer.
In Windows Vista, Microsoft changed that. In VISTA , the Administrator account is not subject to UAC, but normal administrator accounts are. So the Administrator can make any changes to the systemand will see no UAC prompts.
Turning on the Administrator account is straightforward. First, open an elevated command prompt by typing cmd into the Search box on the Start menu, right-clicking the command prompt icon that appears at the top of the Start menu, then selecting Run as administrator — or just use the shortcut you created in the previous hack.
Then enter this command and press Enter:
Net user administrator /active:yes
From now on, the Administrator account will appear as an option on the Welcome screen, along with any user accounts you may have set up. Use it like any other account. Be aware that it won't have a password yet, so it's a good idea to set a password for it.
If you want to disable the account and hide it, enter this command at an elevated command prompt and press Enter:
Net user administrator /active:no
HOPE THIS HELPS.
:-)

Account locked

You require an administrator account to unlock the account, or use 3rd party software to unlock like Hirens Boot CD. Other than that you will have to re-install windows.

How to unlock your computer if ur a single user? i only have an administrator account and no other acconts i forgot my password and dont know how to log in

Search online for "offline NT password reset" utility.
Boot your computer from a CD containing this software, and you can set the password for the 'Administrator' account to "blank". Then, remove the CD, and restart your computer,
and login as 'Administrator'.

Windows xp pro logon error message "unable to log you on because your account has been locked out"

Hey!
If your computer is a part of a business network, you should contact the network administrator so he/she would setup or reconfigure your user account correctly.

If it's a home computer, you'll have to log on as Administrator to unlock your account. To do so:
  1. Click Start -> Log off (user name).
  2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete twice.
  3. Type Administrator in the user name and fill in the Administrator account's password. Leave blank if there isn't any.
  4. Once logged in, Click Start -> Run...
  5. Type in: LUSRMGR.MSC and click OK.
  6. Double-click on Users folder.
  7. Double-click on your locked user account.
  8. Uncheck "Account is disabled" and click OK.
  9. Close "Local Users and Groups" window.
  10. Click Start -> Log off Administrator.
  11. Login to your user account!
Note: If you don't have access to the Administrator account (because you don't have the password), please do tell and I'll give you the instructions on how to reset it.

GOOD LUCK!
Pelu.

I need to reset administator pass word for windows vista but i cant down load anything cus i have to be in the administator mod

There are a lot of tools and utilities that can be downloaded and used to recover, reset, retrieve or reveal existing password. These password reset or retrieval utilities, free or paid, are usually a Linux boot disk or CD that able to comes with NT file system (NTFS) drivers and software that will read the registry
and rewrite the password hashes, or can brute force crack the password for any user account including the Administrators. The advantage is that there is no fear of leaking your password to outsiders, while the process requires physical access to the console and a floppy or CD drive, depending on which tool you choose. And it’s not easy, although it always work!
Offline NT Password & Registry Editor – Available as bootdisk or bootable CD, Offline NT Password and Registry Editor works to change or reset password of any users on Windows NT 3.51, NT 4, Windows 2000,Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Vindows Vista 32 and 64 bit. It can also detect and offer to unlock locked or disabled user accounts.
