Question about Kitchen Ranges

Elements work at maximum temperature regardless of settings.

Two of the elements have this problem. Is it the elements or the temperature controls? Where can I buy parts in Brisbane, Australia?

The Robertshaw 5500-200 "no push" or the 5500-202 "push to turn" is your choice, either one will work for the large or small eyes.

Elements do not heat to proper settings

If both elements are not working properly then the problem is either the temperature probe or the control board.

Replace the temp probe first.

Oven elements just stopped working

If I understand your use correctly, you were using the oven to heat the space? Or for baking?

Regardless, it sounds as though the elements have failed. If you used the oven for heating the space (with the door open) the broiler element comes on during preheat of the oven to get the oven to temperature more quickly. The elements are NOT designed to heat a space, and will quickly burn out if used in this manner.

Chances are that both elements should energize when starting up in bake mode. Since bake is by the very nature of the principle "constant heat" then the job of the control on the unit is to maintain an stable temperature for a specific period of time. Sooo... when starting up, both elements would be available to quickly raise the temperature. Once that temperature is reached then the bottom element would be all that is required to maintain the set temperature. Watch the elements for a period of time, until the "bake" temp is met and see if the bottom element is the only one energizing for the remainder of the time alloted.
