If your saying no spark at the plugs, The positive side of ignition coil should be hot, with key in crank or run position. If it isn't, I'd have to check ignition switch and wiring circuits.
I don't have a good wiring diagram for your model year, I can't look up wiring.
either the electical ignition switch has a BROKEN sliding track to move the contacts to the shut off mode or the sector gear at the rear of the key lock has stripped its gears. If the key turns easier than it use to the sector gear is at fault
I would start by checking you switch for the tanks to make sure it is working right and if the front tanks fuel pump does not work after you check the switch I would get a 12 volt electrical test light and see if your getting power to the front fuel pump if your getting power to it I would say you have a bad pump . But some times the pump will run but the diaphragm gets weak in them.
Pull the small wire off the relay and have someone else turn the key to start position and check for voltage on that small wire, if there is no voltage present your problem may be the ignition switch mounted on the colum under the dash.
mcdevito75, That carb, solonoid most likely works with both, electricity and vacum, That blue wire should hook up to that solonoid, look at the plug ans solonoid and see if there"s a point for the wire. If it has broken off yo"ll have to replace the solonoid. Also have the choke system on your truck checked out, if the choke is not operateing as it should this too can cause your problem. Have your local repair shop take a look.
Remove the steering column covers and you'll find the electical switch to the ignition. You'll find a rod that activates the switch from the lock and tumbler. Check for anything broken between the two.
