No print even on test print cartridges say the ink is about a quater left in both

Cartridge might have dried up, remove and use a Qtip with nail polish remover and rub over bottom part of cartridge where lines of micro sized holes can be seen, usually there is some ink dried there. Ink is water based until dry.

CHANGED COLOR CARTRIDGE AS I HAVE MANY TIMES BEFORE. NOT WORKING. MESSAGE IS THAT THIS CARTRIDGE WAS NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY. HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING - HELP PLEASE ! thanks

good day sir/ma'am, hi, the reason why the printed sends the mesaage "cartridge not installed correctly" mean that it cannot get ink from those cartridges due to dirt and dust, or the ink on the cradle dried out, you may need to clean the cradle, the part were it houses the ink cartridges, since dried ink is solluble to water, use warm water to clean the cartridge. you can remove the cradle or use a dipstick with cloth wrap around and dip it to the dried ink. If the dried ink has soften enough you can place again your cartridge and test print again, do this several times to get the ink flow again. Carefull not to moisten the electronics part of your printer. thats it.

Cleaned heads about 10 times. Still get no magenta and a light black Also replaced magenta cartridge

Remove the cartridge from the printer. Wipe the cartridge electrical contacts and the corresponding carrier contacts with a dry fabric or paper towel. Then moisten a paper towel and wipe the cartridge printing surface (not the electrical contacts) until clean. Also you can hold the moist paper towel against the cartridge printing surface for a couple of minutes to dissolve dried ink. As a last resort, I have immersed cartridges in water to dissolve the dried ink. Dry all cartridge surfaces with a dry paper towel then reinstall into the printer carrier. Good luck.

Print cartridge
When the print cartridge contacts are dirty and the printer cannot detect/communicate with print cartridge.
Clean the contact points on the cartridges with a dry, lint-free cloth.
1. Open the top cover of the printer.
2. Remove the print cartridges.
3. Clean the copper-colored contact points on the cartridges with a damp, lint-free cloth. Use a dry, lint-free cloth to remove moisture from the contacts.
5. Insert the cartridges back into the printer.
6. Close the top cover.
7. Try printing again.
If you still cant communicate try with new cartridge .

Replaced all cartridges will not print black

Before you replaced the ink cartridge, did you let the ink in the previous cartridge run completely dry? If you did, then the printer heads are completely dry and it will take awhile for ink to start flowing again.

Ink cartridges don't last and can not use one without the other.

Sounds to me like the cartridges are drying out quickly. Make sure you are using original cartridges and not the remanufactured ones or 3rd party ink cartridges. Also try to use your printer at least once every couple of days even if its just to print a document cause the longer you go without using it, the more of a chance that the cartridges will dry up.

Also one other thing, when the cartridge dries up you can try putting the bottom of the cartridge in a dish with warm water so the hole is covered with water, you can let it soak like this overnight then wipe off the bottom of the cartridge so its dry and then reinsert it back into the printer and see if that takes care of that issue, hope this helps.

Let me know if you need further help.
