Question about Canon PIXMA iP1800 InkJet Photo Printer

1 Answer

Printer either eats up paper or won't print anything out

My ip1800 canon printer has been making a weird "clicking" sound lately (like something's stuck in it) and whenever I try to load paper into it, to print, it 'eats' the paper; making it go crooked or it doesn't print on that sheet at all.
Help.

What you might try is to find some thing that has been laminated on both sides and manuall feed it in to the feed rollers and see if you are able to push out what ever is in the paper path making your paper go in crooked. brother tech

Paper jammed but no paper is jammed.

Sounds like something has fallen into the paper path. Use a flashlight and small mirror to look down the slot where the paper goes. You may have to use a straightened paper clip or the like to help remove the obstruction.

Paper not feeding right

Hey. I too am having that problem with my ip1800 canon printer. It makes a weird "clicking" sound whenever I turn it on, and then when I try to feed it paper, the sheets either get stuck and become crooked and cumpled. OR, when it does sound like its printing, it doesn't print on the page--maybe the tip of the page, but not the whole page.
