Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5500 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Copied photos are faded looking, not bright olike the original.

I currently bought the kodak ESP 7, Thanks.

    Have you checked to make sure your printer isn't set for something like Fast/Econimical Printing or General Printing (something along those lines) in the Printing Preferences?

With so many bad printheads, it could be a bad printhead. You can call or email Kodak for help if it is a bad printhead Kodak will air ship you a new one along with free ink tanks, free of charge.

Try removing the print head again, removing the ink and re-cleaning the print head. Once it has been cleaned leave it to air dry for a few days before returning it to your printer and make sure the ink cartridges are fully clipped in. Let me know how you get on.

My Kodak ESP 3 Won't Scan


Did you install the full software driver for the all-in-one? The drivers are here: http://www.kodak.com/global/mul/service/downloads/DownloadLookup.jhtml?pq-path=9103/12666/12667&product=EKN034524

Next try a new USB cable and plugging the unit into a different port. If you use a print server or USB hub, try connecting directly to the computer. Scanners need bi-directional communication with the computer and thus are likely to have issues even if the printer doesn't.

Can the scanning software on the computer initiate the scan? (That is in the full software package. Alternatively Vista came with Paint and File> Import from Camera or Scanner > New Scan.)

Kodak ESP 5 picture quality


I rang the Kodak helpline & explained the problem with the printer & they promised to send me a new printhead within 7 to 10 working days, I recieved it within 4 days (no charge) , my printer, documents & photo's, are now perfect, thank you. Chris Jones

My Kodak ESP 5 fades when printing then will go blank even when I have ink


try copying something from the printer in standalone mode and check if the same issue or not.....if it is then try and do print head cleaning from the menu option and if still does not resolve call kodak tech support as it is print head issue and needs replacement..........if the copy comes out fine and faded print is only when trying to print from the computer then it could be a software issue

Try to install the latest version of Printer software from www.kodak.com/go/downloads on your computer. then open the kodak home center software and click on scan pictures. Adjust the settings and you are ready to go. download the user manual from www.kodak.com/go/manuals. KEEP ME POSTED.

Kodak esp 3 printer not printing properly.


you need to clean the printhead

Calibrate the printer (Scan + Cancel)At the same time for 5 seconds

Do a demo page ( Scan + Copy )

I have TWO Kodak Easy share 5500 printers. Both have had the cartridges replaced twice with Kodak brand cartridges. Both copiers have faded copies and both have test page photos that look like color...


Please call 1.800.421.6699 and select option 01 for prints missing black or color ink. Kodak will send you a replacement printhead kit for free. I hope this helps.
