Sit in front of the machine. Take your right hand and put your palm up to the plastic apron in front to the far right. Bend your fingers to a 90 degree angle. Extend your arm unti you feel the metal against your finger and nails. Exactly 6 inches from the right, you will feel a rubber cover that covers a small metal spout. Before you remove the cover, place a shallow plate underneath. I needed a rubber grippy jar opener to get the cover off. Once you get the few ounces of water out of the bottom, it will operate without issue.

Water continues to pump through the machine and does not stop, just keeps filling and then pumping through to the drain

The fill valve may have failed and it is no longer shutting off the water supply to the dishwasher. Both the water supply and the electrical power must be shut off in order to replace the valve. The valve should be replaced by a qualified appliance service person.

Water comes out but spray arms don't turn and motor doesn't seem to be runing

Sounds like a bad pump/motor. It is also possible that something hard (like broken glass) got down into the pump impeller, stopping it from turning. Depending on the brand and model, this may be easy or hard to check and clean out.

Switch dishwasher on and starts up ok but when it comes to pumping water in it stops and does not do anything else.

Hello

Investigate these five areas if your dishwasher won't fill with water:

As water is filling your dishwasher, a float rises along with it. When the float reaches a predetermined level, it shuts off the flow of water, thereby preventing a leak. Sometimes the float can get stuck in the wrong position in your dishwasher, and it can prevent your dishwasher from filling. Check your float assembly. Replace it if you need to.

The water that fills your dishwasher lifts the float, and when it reaches a certain level, it acts as a trigger for the float switch. The float triggers the float switch to shut off, thereby shutting off the flow of water into the dishwasher. A defective switch may interfere with your dishwasher's filling ability.

Your dishwasher may not be filling with water simply because the water valve's filter screens are dirty and debris-filled. Gain access to your water inlet valve and try cleaning it out. This might be enough to solve the problem. You can learn how to access your water inlet valve in the replace a dishwasher water inlet valve section.

Alternatively, your water inlet valve could be defective altogether. That could be the reason your dishwasher is not filling. Test it for continuity. If it is not functioning as it should, replace it.

Your dishwasher's drain valve is regulated by a drain solenoid. If the solenoid is malfunctioning, it may not allow the drain valve to funtion properly, which in turn could be the reason your dishwasher is not filling with water. Investigate your drain valve and test the solenoid. If the solenoid is faulty, replace it.

Hi

When the Dishwasher won't fill you'll need to check for the water inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the float switch assembly. When the water fills your dishwasher, a float rises along with it. As the float reaches a certain threshold level, it shuts off the flow of water, thereby preventing a leak. Sometimes the float can get stuck in the wrong position in your dishwasher, and it can prevent your dishwasher from filling. Sometimes it can happen due to float valve and on other occasions due to float switch. Inspect the water hose coming to the dishwasher for any blockages. If the hose is not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the water will not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve is bad and should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is fine then the float switch assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

When turning on dishwasher it just fills the base with water, tried manually draining and pressing reset buttons to no avail

Most dishwashers kick on a valve to fill with water.
There's a float in there somewhere that triggers the shut off to the filling water.
Once water reaches this cut off level the pump should be throwing water thru the wash arms.

If base isn't filling to capacity...Id look to the drain valve.
If it fills to capacity and stops...the pump may be out or something is obstructing it.

Hope this helps...

When i start it it keeps pumping water out

Hi.

If it keeps pumping water out when at the same time is filling, then it is probably a faulty control board.
The drain pump is supposed to come on after filling and cycling.

Before replacing the timer control, ensure that the problem is not a contact in drain pump wiring harness, keeping pump contacts hot even on filling.

Bosh dishwater does not fills with water: seems it shuts down!

you have a leak probably from circ pump. there is a float in the base which when lifted by water, shuts everything down and turns on the drain pump
