My Sony TV picture looks like 3-d and bows at the top and bottom screen. After reading some of the post with similar problem, I ordered NEW STK392-560 and replced both of them. But the picture still looks the same. Is there anything else I can do or maybe check on the board?
all the colours are bleeding and picture is awful, how do you fix this
-   I had this happen last year. The tech came out and I "Think" he said it was a bad red reciffier. He said the the heat sink will be cold if it's bad.
He replaced it and all was good until almost a year until today, now it's doing it again. This time NOT in warranty !!-   aclineman

You have a convergence problem. Here are some of the most common symptoms. Screen looks 3D One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu. Screen is bowed in but stationary.
Here is a quick test....
Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.
Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.
You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.
If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.
>>>Solution<<<<
You need to replace the convergence chips and convergence resistors.
Check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together a kit for your exact model. The kit includes a photo instruction guide, original Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, etc. Everything you need to fix it yourself.

we've had this tv for awhile now and it's been fixed before and now
it's broken again. i don't know if it's the same problem but the last
time repairmen fixed it, they had to take it to their shop. i hope i
put the right model #, i'm not sure how big it is, i think it's about
40-50 in. (Sony KP-65WS510 65 in. Rear Projection HDTV Television);
it wasn't accepting that in the box below. the only other thing i could
get was that it was manufactured Nov. 2003, not sure if that helps. is
there something i could do personally to replace something or does it
really have to be done by professionals?
