Re: the machine won't start up

In the self test does it flush the unit ? If not you have to prime the unit by allowing it to pump hot water through the frothing valve. Open the valve and the pump should pulse water out. After this the machine should indicate it is in the operating mode for coffee

How do we insert the coffee pods

Open the brew mechanism. Opening the brew
mechanism will initiate the heating of the water and the
HEATING light will flash.
2 Place a clean cup on the cup stand, adjusting the height of the
stand up or down so that the rim of the cup is close to the
brew mechanism.
• To adjust the cup stand, insert your finger in the center
of the stand, lift and turn.
• To avoid spilling over, please choose the right sized cup for
the drink you are making.
3 Position your choice of T-DISC on the T-DISC holder, label facing
down. Firmly close the brew mechanism by pressing the clamp
down until it shuts. The HEATING light may flash again as the
machine heats the water to the required temperature for
your drink.
4 When the AUTO light illuminates, press and release the start/stop
button. Brewing will start automatically. There may be a short pause
during brewing; this is normal and is designed to draw out the full flavor
of your drink. The AUTO light flashes throughout the brew cycle. When
the machine has finished brewing, the indicator light will move from
AUTO to MANUAL and then, after a delay of 30 seconds, to HEATING.
5 Open the brew mechanism, remove the T-DISC and discard.
Your drink is now ready to be enjoyed.
You can prepare the next beverage right away by repeating
steps 2 - 5.

Brew group/dump box

If you open the door, start the machine, take a screwdriver in the hole lokated in the left lower side and a other in the hole lokated in the right top corner. Now should the machine do her selftest and go back to start positions.

Opened the grounds cup while machine powering on, now it's blocked

Here's the deal.

1. As you've probably learned by now, don't take anything from teh machine when its powering up and even when its going threw a brew cycle.

Here's whats happened, There's a set of microswitches that connect to the main board on the unit. One of the switches is triggered by the grounds cup.

When one of the switches is set off the unit goes into alarm and locks down.

Now to your problem. When the machine starts up its just like a brew cycle. The machine goes threw a Test mode of sorts where its checking the brew drive.

Once you pulled the ground cup, i'm almost 100% positive (its a common problem) that you set the alarm off mid cycle and jammed the brew group in place.

Since the brew group switch and the ground cup switch are so close together, it basically jams them both per say.

So basically unjam the brew drive to its original position is the only way to fix the problem.

Option 1: 2 tiny screw drivers. Turn the machine on. By the brew drive there's should be 2 holes where there's little metal clips stick out. When you press them with the screw drivers, the machine will trigger the brew drive back to the original settings.

Option 2: Flat head screw driver. where the grounds cup is there should be a little slice on the machine. turn machine on. place screwdriver there, brew drive should go threw test and then back to original position. Once everything stops, you should be good to go.

Option 3: Sent out for service. Worst case scenario.

Don't use alot of pressure as these pieces are all aluminum and plastic.

Wish ya the best of luck.
