Question about Kenmore 24032\24036 Top Load Washer
Those top loaders are pretty dang simple and easy to repair. To access the pump motor and that pesky drive coupling you must remove the cabinet and expose the innards. Start by removing scews on either side of the control panel, flip it upwards on its hinges and pop the S clips that hose the case to the rear. Unplug the lid switch and tip the case forward . Remove it from the base. Now you can work on the machine. Add a little water to the machine and look for obvious leaks. Defeat the lid switch (jumper it) and run a whole cycle with the case off so you can determine where the leak is coming from.
