Change Language


Hello Paul crisp,
To change the language on your printer you need to:-
  • Turn on the printer.
  • Press the *and # buttons.Release the buttons.
  • *******##### will be displayed.
  • Now press buttons 1,2 and 3 until there appears the resetting menu.press the OK button twice.
  • This procedure shuts down the printer such that when you turn it on again,the language settings will have to be set.Select your option.

How to instaal hp officejet j4580 all in one printer


NOTE :download the drivers from this website if you dont have the disc that came with the printer

you can download the drivers here

STEPS:

1. Remove tape and packing materials.
2. Attach tray.
3. Connect the power cord and adapter and turn on device.

4. Set the control panel language and location, if necessary.
5. Install software. When prompted, connect the All-in-One.

How does one set the language to English


Changing the HP OfficeJet J4580 language on the printer control panel:

1) With the printer powered ON, unplug the power cord
2) Wait 30 seconds
3) Press and hold the <#> key and the <3> key at the same time as you plug the power cord back in
4) Release the keys you were holding
5) If your printer does not power on automatically, press the power button
6) Press the setup button (looks like a wrench)
7) Use the arrow keys to navigate to "Basic Settings" and press <OK>
8) Use the arrow keys to navigate to "Set Language" and press <OK>
9) Use the arrow keys to navigate to the language of your choice, and press <OK>
10) Press <1> on the keypad to confirm
11) When "Set Location" appears, use the arrow keys to navigate to your country/region, and then press the <1> key to confirm

How do you set this printer into draft mode? (HP officejet J4580)


Hi,
Go to Start->Control Panel->Printers and faxes. Then right click on your printer and choose printing preferences. There you will find a setting for quality and set it to draft (or fast draft).

Try this;

Changing the language on the HP All-in-One displayFollow these steps to change the language on the All-in-One display.
  1. Press the Setup button (c01361401.gif).
  2. Use the arrow buttons (c01185108.jpgc01185072.jpg) to select Basic Settings, and then press OK.
  3. Use the arrow buttons (c01185108.jpgc01185072.jpg) to select Set Language, and then press OK.
  4. Use the arrow buttons (c01185108.jpgc01185072.jpg) to scroll through the language options until the preferred language is displayed.
  5. Press the numbers on the numeric keypad that correspond to the appropriate language displayed on the control panel display.
    NOTE: Ifa selection is not made within five seconds, the display automaticallychanges to show the next language. If a selection is not made withintwo minutes the setup menu exits and the language/region remainsunchanged.
  6. Confirm the language choice.
    • Press the number corresponding to Yes to confirm the selected language.
    • Press the number corresponding to No to select a different language.
  7. Aftera language is selected, a screen is displayed for region selection.Press the numbers on the numeric keypad that correspond to theappropriate region.
    NOTE: Ifa selection is not made within five seconds, the display automaticallychanges to show the next region. If a selection is not made within twominutes the setup menu exits and the language/region remains unchanged.

To check your remaining ink. Goto to the control panel click printer and faxes select your printer right click procceed to propties and see all printer menu and preferences.

I have recently installed my new HP Officejet J4580 All-in-One. I seem to be able to print off the internet but cannot print a filed document. Everytime I try to print I am prompted to create a new file. I...


Make sure that the HP Officejet J4580 printer is selected in the printers drop down list. Sometimes if you choose a PDF printer for example it will ask you to create a new file.

Sometimes there is an option in the Printer Preferences that says "Print to file". Make sure that it is unchecked.
