The distributor rotor turns COUNTERCLOCKWISE
The marked # 1 position on the distributor cap faces to the rear and slightly towards the drivers side of the engine
The engine cylinders / spark plugs are numbered : passenger side , front to rear , 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 and drivers side , front to rear 5 , 6 , 7 , 8
