I keep getting a message that reads: Cannot use a path that exceeds 128 characters in length. I do not have the CD so I need to download this driver to use my printer.
Hi,
Try getting it from the Australian Canon page, the URL is shorter:
http://support-au.canon.com.au/contents/AU/EN/0100127601.html
Hope this helps

Enter your OS to get the proper drivers. Your OS can't read addresses/paths with more than 128 letters/numbers in it. Please rate this solution accordingly if it helps you because that helps me, too.
Ok no problem you can change the name and still download it. When you find the driver and are ready to download click "Save As" as opposed to Save or Open. A window will open and the second to last line on the bottom you can type in the name you want to save it as. MyDriverForSound for example. Then once the file is finished downloading just click "Open". That will open the file and install the driver, the computer does not care what the name is, the last three letters which are automatically assigned tells your computer it is a driver. If you have any questions let me know.
