I am not sure what the black legs do but they problably support the heater lamps....if there is a wire going to the legs then the black legs need to be removed. the key is to d isassemble any drive chains, brackets etc that support the fuser rollers the black legs could also be support for stripper fingers

just dissasemble all components holdng the fuser roller from both sides

best of luck

The paper is crumpled in the lower part of the paper.

Maybe you have problems with the upper fuser roller, open the back door and try to see the upper fuser roller and lower pressure roller if you see any wrinkles or damage in any of the rollers that's is the problem, you can replace them just the upper fuser roller and the lower pressure roller but it will need advanced skills, the other option is change all fuser assembly but at higher price

I have copier ir 400s sir i am getting error when i started the machine the error is E014 thank you

This is an indication that the fuser ( hot rollers on left side of copier ) are not turning. This could be caused by several things. Try turning the green knob behind front door. Does it move smoothly? If it doesn't then remove the left side fuser door and remove the fuser assembly. The bearings for the upper and lower rollers could be bad. If the fuser moves easily, then it could be a white gear that is located on the upper right of the fuser assembly. This is the drive gear for the fuser. The gear tends to wear out over time and has to be replaced. This should get you in the right direction to solve the problem.

The printer make noise while it is printing

Hewlett Packard P3005 Fuser

Its all about the gears in the fuser drive assembly and the bushing in the fuser.

The HP P3005 fuser is located at the back of the printer.

The fuser has a thin film upper roller which can be torn, some symptons can be "Wrinkled Pages","Poor Fusing", "Toner Rubs Off the Page", "Pieces of black Plastic Come Out".

*** The printer should be unplugged from any power source before any servicing is performed ***

The rear cover can be taken off by removing 2 screws. Once the cover has been removed the fuser can be removed by taking out 4 screws and 3 electrical connections.

We are getting some markings on the printed pages. All of the rollers have been cleaned except the top one. What is the best process for getting into the top end of the printer to access the rollers...

The problem is weared hot roller. It is a steel sleeve with teflon coating, rolling around a ceramic heater. You have to replace it. To reach it you have to remove the back cover, side covers and the upper cover. It is possible with some bending to take out the upper cover without removing the other covers, but you will have to remove them later anyway. To remove the upper cover, remove the grey plastic part first. There are four screws under it that hold the cover. There is a flat cable to the control panel. Remember to attach it when assembling.
The fuser unit is under the cover.
Disconnect the wiring and remove the screws of the fuser. Then remove the entire fuser unit. Take it to another table and dismantle it.
Cleaning this roller will not help. Replace it or don't bother to dismantle if you will not.

Upper (gray) fuser roller needs replacing, (tear on 1 side).

If you are handy it is not hard to replace the upper fuser roller you will need a small phillips screwdriver and pliars

the fuser lamp goes through the fuser roler so youmust disconnect the power leads to the lamp and remove the lamp

You do have to release the back side of the drive
gear on the fuser roller

when you install the new roller be sure to put some silicone fuser oil on the cleaning pad

take your time good luck

Paper dents

I believe you have two problems. One the dent you are talking about unless I see it I don't know for sure but I believe this is minor and something you need to live with. The paper goes through a fuser which uses a teflon sleeve over a heater surface and a lower pressure roller made of rubber. It may be that you need a new lower pressure roller they get little cuts in them sometimes. Two the spots are probably from a faulty toner cartridge. It has a leak.
