Harman Kardon AVR 7300 Won't Turn On

The issue I'm have with my Harman Kardon AVR 7300 is that it won't turn on. I press the ON button and you can hear it clicking inside but it shuts off within a second. It's been over a month since it's been able to turn on. There have been times when it would turn on and stay on for a few minutes or hours.

Thanks,
Rick

I had a Monster Power Center HTS3500 surge protectot used with the AVR 7300. While all was powered on there was a pop and the Power Center is dead and the AVR power light turns from white to blue when I press the power button there is a click but there is no display. Nothing turns on at all. I don't know if the AVR7300 blew my Power Center Surge Protector or tif the Surge Protector let a surge through and it blew my AVR 7300? Any help is appreciated. No warranty and I want to try and fix this my self.

SOURCE: can I conect harman Kardon avr 230 to apple tv

Yes, although it (AVR) does not support HDMI only component video.

Connect the audio to the receiver and the video directly to the TV if you have inadequate video inputs, or want to take advantage of the HDMI.

SOURCE: How to I reset my

Hi odysy

I got this from the manual page 43.

Resetting the Remote Memory
As you add components to your home-theater
system, occasionally you may wish to totally
reprogram the remote control without the confusion
of any commands, macros or ”Punch-
Through“ programming that you may have done.
To do this, it is possible to reset the remote to the
original factory defaults and command codes by
following these steps. Note, however, that once
the remote is reset, all commands or codes that
you have entered will be erased and will need to
be re-entered:
1. Press any of the Input Selector buttons 4
and the ”O“ button Hat the same time until
the Program/SPL Indicator 2begins to flash
amber.
2. Press the ”3“ button Hthree times.
3. The red LED under the Input Selector4
will go out and the Program/SPL Indicator
2will stop flashing and turn green.
4. The Program/SPL Indicator 2will remain
green until the remote is reset. Note that this may
take a while, depending on how many commands
are in the memory and need to be erased.
5. When the Program/SPL Indicator 2goes
out, the remote has been reset to the factory settings.

SOURCE: Harman Kardon AVR 135 6.1....AUDIO DELAY???

This model does have a delay function. Programming is on page 19 of the user manual. Go to http://www.harmankardon.com/product_support/interstitial.aspx?sJump=ps&Region=USA&Country=US&Language=ENG select all products, AVR135, and get the owner's guide. If you have trouble with the link, then go to the Harmon Kardon site, and make your way to the support portal and then select all products.

SOURCE: Harman/kardon avr 247 no audio or LED display on the reciever

I've had the exact problem. HK in the states is no help, you need to deal with a company in Montreal (Jan Industries). Regular techs are unable to fix it without schematics that only authorized dealers have and the manufacturer. This problem happened to me just after 2 years and outside warranty. I've bought a Yamaha today.

HOW TO RESET HARMAN KARDON AVR70

Hi, Try this. Hope this helps and I have the link here to the manual.
Processor Reset
If the AVr behaves erratically after a power surge, first turn off the front-panel
main
power switch and unplug the Ac power cord for at least 3 minutes. plug the cord back
in and turn the AVr on. If this procedure doesn't help, reset the AVr's processor as
described below.
note: resetting the processor will erase all user configurations, including speaker and
level settings, and tuner presets. After a reset, reenter all of these settings from your
notes in the Appendix worksheets.

To reset the AVR's processor:

1. press the front-panel Standby/on switch to place the unit in the Standby mode (the
Standby Indicator led will turn amber).
2. press and hold the front-panel Standby and memory/folder buttons until the reSet
message appears on the front-panel message display.
3. press the memory/folder button again to reset the AVr's processor.
If the AVr does not function correctly after a processor reset, contact an authorized
harman
kardon service center for assistance.
to locate an authorized service center,
visit our web site at www.harmankardon.com.

What worked for me was going into network settings on the H/K and entering the WAN subnet rather than the wireless subnet.

I have a harman kardon 7300 an the sound come an go some time it sound like is breaking up i shut it down for 5mins an it goes away it play for about 10min an it starts again

Hi edouble6785,
This symptom is commonly caused by faulty output IC. This go to an overload and overheat due to leak after a period of playing. To isolate the trouble, disconnect all the input and speakers at the back panel. If the symptom is still there, high chance that the output IC is defective.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.
