Question about JBL Spyro Computer Speakers

I have a jbl spyro and the left speaker will just not work at all. I've checked the connection and it's pushed in as far as it will go!

I just got these speakers, brand new, just took them out of the box today, and the left speaker isn't as clear as they should be.  Some songs that should have lots of bass barely has any.  It's annoying me and putting me in a bad mood.

Slow responding buttons is probably your problem. The spyro system takes a while to respond to a touch. You have to hold your finger on untill it responds. Sometimes you have to reset the - button by first tapping and then touching along time. Then you do the same with the + button and  switch between the two buttons  untill it works. It´s a bit lame but maybe you will find the key that works evey time. I too  thaught my system didn´t work. Good luck!

Just reread your description and maybe I didn´t get your problem right. If your right speaker produces sound and your left doesn´t my hunch didn´t pay of. However, If your problem resembles mine, here´s an addition to my solution: Instead of tapping the buttons, you should first gently rub the button you wish to use and then hold it untill action takes place. Hope this can help you.

1. Go to "Adjust Audio Properties". In Windows XP, you can get here by right clicking on speaker icon in system try.
2. Click on speaker volume push button.
3. Increase the left volume to maximum.
4. Now, play some music or some audio content.
5. Then reset L and R speakers default (L and R speakers will be at 50%).
6. Now, both speakers will work fine.

FDD2 used to balancing sound between two speakers was probably malfunctioning and it was reset by above exercise.

Disturbance while increasing bass in JBL SPYRO

I have a similar problem. You need to open your subwoofer and check if the subwoofers cone cloth is torn. If it's torn you can recone the subwoofer and it will work fine. There are solutions online to fix the cloth using regular synthetic mix cloth but i don't know if it works. Try removing the cloth to see if it sounds better.

LEFT SPEAKER NOT WORKING. pLUGS IN GOOD, BUT NO SOUND OUT OF SPEAKER. cAN ADJUST VOLUME BUT NO SOUND COMING OUT OF THAT SPEAKER

try swapping the speakers around if the problem still persists either the speaker is faulty or
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
or you might have to clean the dust from your computer dust causes static which causes your computer to overheat and all sorts of problems
be sure to wear an anti static earth strap before touching anything inside your computer try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the CPU central processing unit and your SOUND CARD dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems
hope this helps

NO SOUND

> NO SOUND

Has this _always_ been the case, or is this something "new" ?

Have you told your computer to "mute" itself?

Try the speakers in another computer? (laptop?)

Check that the speakers are connected to "line-out" on your computer's sound-card.

JBL Creature 2.1 Left Speaker not working

Hiya

Too late to resolve the original poster's worries, I can assume, but I arrived here when searching on account of the same problem and resolved it. This is going to sound implausibly condescending, I'm afraid (and excuse th elack of technical terminology!)...

I couldn't get my left speaker to work exactly as above, but then looked carefully at the shape of the respective cables leading to the sub. You have to fit the triangle shape of the lead into the triangular shape of the hole. The speaker CAN be connected what *feels* like correctly, but is in fact connected incorrectly (ie, not all the way in).

This is more a problem with the left speaker than the right since it's a triangle and the right is a square, and can be a little fiddly.

Anyone else experiencing the same problem should probably take a quick moment just to check this isn't it! :)

goto your control panel and set which type of speaker you r using
and get proper cable for connectivity to your cpu to speaker
and install matchable audio driver which suited to your hardware

there are there pin in bihind your cpu one for dedicated to microphone
and other are used to get connected to speakers so let me know what socket pin and color r u using
ok and check correctly for your own knowledge

JBL spot series speaker not working.

I know this is old but just incase anyone has the same problem. Its proabably the connection from back panel to the internal amp (Inside the sub enclosure). The ribbon cable has the + for the left speaker right at the edge with quite a bit of tension. Over time and with the vibrations from the sub this will bend/pull out slightly and needs to be pushed back on and some hot glue put around the connection to hold it in place.

Thats how I fixed mine anyway.
