Clicking noises may mean a power supply voltage is not staying correct or that board is bad---a suggestion: visit shopjimmy.com who has by model number a list of all the boards used in almost every Samsung Flat screen set made.
This clacking and clicking noise could have been coming from a capacitor going bad in the tv. If this is the case where the tv will not turn back on, I would suggest calling samsung to try to get a replacement or get the tv serviced. Trying to replace bad capacitors can be a tedious job and requires knowledge of soldering small components. This may also void your warranty if you still have coverage.
The tv power supply board it got short and already dead some how,tv have clicking noises mean ur tv power supply board are not stable and not regulating high voltages to the rest of the tv other boards. The tv power supply board that the board where the a/c power cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole new refurbish tv power supply board for the replacement.
The clicking could be a loose connecction of the power plug or frrom the main power unit of your TV. Remove your plug and see the ends for burn outs, if so clean and use a different outlet. If not open the set after disconnection and check your main power supply unit for loose connection particularily in the surge protector, the main capacitor, the main drive, diodes or connectors. Wait to hear the sound and use a long insulated rod as a probe to confirm the origin of the sound. Solder or replace the damaged item. Hope this helps . Good day
I have a LA40C550J1M (not under warranty). It works fine in all aspects except for playing back MKV files via the usb; in this case, the audio comes ahead by about 500ms than the video causing an irritable experience. I know re-coding the content will work; but it becomes a nuisance for converting for every file.
