Question about Mitsubishi WS-65513 65" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

Mitsubishi ws-65313 No Picture

My TV has sound but no picture when connected to cable. I can play DVD's and have a perfect picture but when I switch to cable it is dark and wavy. I tried another TV to check the cable reception and the picture was fine on the other TV.

Could there be something wrong with the cable input (Ant A/B?)

Check the connections for firmness. If the converter works properly, there shouldn't be any problem other than this.

How do i connect my dvi to vga to my misubishi ws-65313

you can't, DVI is a digital video source and VGA is an analog video source. however there is a VGA to component RGBHV cable that you can use. the Mitsubishi TV is very limited to the resolutions the VGA output can be. only 1080I, 480P or 480I. HD component video input in the menu you must change the source from Y /Pb/ Pr to RGB.

Follow the color code green for green, red for red, blue for blue, ignore the yellow wire, also be aware that there is an audio cable that is red also that wire goes into the Right channel audio and the white wire goes to the Left channel audio

My Mitsubishi WS-65313 picture lost it's red. things that are supposed to be red are purple. Any idea what is going on and do you think I can repair it? Thanks, Russ

If your TV looks 3D, warped, or distorted it likely has a convergenge problem.
If however it just looks dull, washed out, redish, greenish, or blueish or if it looks like objects on the screen have halos the fluid in the lens has soured.
You can search google for parts or you can get the parts with repair instructions from sites such as www.TvRepairKits.com

Mitsubishi WS-65313 Blinking Screen

Does your system have hdmi input. If so hook up cable box, if it has hdmi, to the tv and see if that works.
If that clears up your problem you have a problem with the av board or boards.
I have found that most of the newer systems do not like the voltage and frequency from xboxes, playstations, or computers very well using the rca out and in.
Let me know what you find out. I might have a better solution for you.
