Assume you are trying to connect the wires from the faceplate to the motherboard. Get a magnifying glass and see if the board is marked as to Power, Speaker, HDD LED, Reset, etc. Trace the wires to the faceplate and note what the function of each pair of wires is and attach to motherboard as necessary

Actually the information wil be on the motherboard and you need to reed carefully or you can check the manual if still have the manual all the information will be there.

Emachine Wiring Diagram

What a Marvelous person!

You have described a 4-pin Peripheral power cable, ('P6'),

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#peripheral

An IDE harddrive, of which the 4-pin Peripheral power cable example, is plugged into.
Another look at an IDE (PATA) harddrive,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136096

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallel_ATA

However, I do not know if the flat IDE ribbon cable marked Slave, goes to a secondary Harddrive, or an optical drive. (CD/DVD drive)

Either way the point is moot. BOTH of those 'squarish flat black' units, HAVE a 4-pin Peripheral power cable to them.
Another hardware component, those type of power wires CAN go to, is a computer case fan.

However not ALL power cables have to be used. Sometimes there are extra ones. These are in case they are need later.

To summarize;
The optical drive, or drives; that you put a CD, or DVD disk in; can use a 4-pin Peripheral power cable.
(IDE/PATA optical drive)

Harddrive's can use a 4-pin Peripheral power cable.
(IDE/PATA harddrive)

A computer case fan may use a 4-pin Peripheral power cable.

Or the 4-pin Peripheral power cable you see, may simply be an extra one. One if needed in the future.

The eMachines T2245 uses a Trigem (Manufacturer), Imperial GLVE (Model name), motherboard,

Supports an IDE (PATA) harddrive, (Or 2 of them)
Supports an IDE (PATA) optical drive, (or two of them)

I DO hope you are following Anti-Static Procedures!

Your body carries Static electricity. Static WILL fry out (Short Circuit), the delicate hardware components inside a computer.
Relieve your body of Static, BEFORE reaching inside your computer.

Computer on a table, computer Unplugged from power, computer case open;
TOUCH an unpainted surface, of the metal frame of the open, empty computer case.
This action will relieve your body of Static.

IF, you leave your computer in the middle of working on it, be SURE to Touch the metal frame again upon your return.

No power to emachines t6522

Hi,
The final set of connections are the front panel leads that attach to the motherboard. This includes the LEDs for hard drive activity and power status, the case speaker, and most importantly, the power switch.
eg:

You should consult your motherboard manual to find out where to plug these in. The power one is obviously the most important.

Hope this helps

Emachines t6522

Hi birm,
I can tell you that most likely the white wire is the ground wire. The others are positive. The two manual found on eMachine's site does not provide enough of detail.
In this manual see;
Replacing the front I/O Panel (Pages 168, 170 see number 5).
http://downloads.emachines.com/userguides/8511279_eM_NG3_chassis_HW_ref_en.pdf

The information is not specific enough, my guess is the front panel connections is the cable to the far right. (Looking at the picture).
You can try by looking at the picture & hooking the cable as shown.
The white colored wire seems to face to the right. Than try the power on button. If system does not come on, turn the connector 180 & reconnect. Try the power on button on the case.

Listed at the bottom of the link below you can either chat with a tech or call tech. (Main site for the T6522)

Good luck birm!

I wish I could be more specific.

Motherboard wiring

Green/wht normally = Reset or Power LED
Red/wht normally = HDD LED
And is the third red/BLACK?
There should be a label on the black pin jumper at the end of each wire.
Does it say anything?

Connection between emachines case and motherboard

Most likely the wires are for power, reset, and hard disk light. Touch one pair together momentarily, if your compter comes on then connect those wires to the power button. After the computer is on, connect the other two pair to the hard disk light one pair at a time until you see the light activate when the hard disk is running. Then connect the remaining pair to your reset button.

Wiring hook up in the back for whirpool dryer

assuming you are referring to the power hookup,there is no positive negative, (it's not D.C.) red and black are the hot lines(240 volt between them) white is neutral and green is equipment ground.voltage reading should be 120 volts from red or black to white as well as green, 240 volts from red to black, 0 volts from white to green
