Question about Technics SL-PD687 5-Disc CD Changer
I have a Technics 5 CD disc changer CD player PD687. It worked well for about 10 years. I was going to load it with the cd's and somebody accidentally pushed and closed the door. After that it rotates, opens and closes the cd compartment endless. I had to unplugged it. What could be the problem..? Is it worth to take it for servicing to a local electronics shop, can they repair it....? .
If there's a disk left over inside, It's stuck in the drive hanger, and should be removed else the changer can't put it back in it's right slot. Open the machine and check for any CD's still inside.
If not, could be that the small sensore (to the left of the head assembly (just before the drve (upside down)) is dirty or messed up.
Try cleaning if.
