you really cant change the battery but if you feel brave you can try to open the nexus up

I found that if the Nexus 7 (or 10) is left on until the battery drains completely, then switches itself off, it doesn't switch on normally after a recharge. All you need to do is press the on button for several seconds and it will reboot. If that doesn't work then try a hard reset. Refer to user manual which should be in the file system.
