Question about Kenmore Drop-In Bobbin 505S-21BH Mechanical Sewing Machine
I ordered an invisible zipper foot for my Kenmore 385.16221. Since my machine is fairly new, I got one from the Sears site: part #97719. It is listed as a Kenmore Concealed Zipper Foot for Vertical and Horizontal Sewing machines.I cannot figure out how this fits on my machine. Since it is not a snap-on foot, I can't seem to figure it out. Naturally it came without instructions. I would appreciate any help.Thank you!
First of all what kind of machine do you have? My machine has a foot for invisible zippers - if your machine
is older - they sell a package of feet to use for invisible
zippers. The feet are by Coats and Clarks and can be
found near the invisible zippers in your fabric store.
Inside the package you will find instructions on how
to put an invisible zipper in. If you have any problem
google "how to put an invisible zipper in " and you will probably find several to choose from . Good luck.

SOURCE: I bought a walking foot
I think it depends on your shank and everything I see on your model says low shank not high. I would double check that, a vertical is one that the bobbin does not just drop in, you open the front & take out the case and put your bobbin in and a horizontal is the one that you just open the the plastic slide on top of your machine and put it in. Take your manual in with you to Sears and let them help you get the right one.
