If you have forgotten your Linksys router password, the easiestthing to do is to reset your router to the factory default settings. To restore therouter configuration to factory defaults, hold the reset button on the unit for30 seconds.
Once your router is hard reset, you will need tologin and reconfigure it again.
To reconfigure your Linksys, connect a PC to one of it's Ethernet ports, load a web browser, and go to theURL http://192.168.1.1/. This will take youto a popup box which asks you to enter a username and password to login to yourrouter.
Linksys Default Password
On older Linksys routers, the default username is blank and thedefault password is "admin." On newer Linksys routers, both thedefault username and the default password are set to "admin."
Once you are past the login screen, you are able to reconfigurethe Linksys router.
You want to go to the management tab and change the administrator password tosomething else to keep others from accessing your router.

Unfortunately, there is no way to recover a lost or forgotten password from a router or access point; you will need to reset the device to factory defaults. However, once the device is reset to factory defaults, you can use the default username ("admin") and password (either "password" or "1234" depending on your router) to reconfigure your router settings.
if there a small hole in the front or back of the router push a hair pin in to reset to factory settings
hope this helps
