Question about Eureka Luxury Family 8-Person 2-Room Titan Tent

Eureka vacuum won't stay running

I have a central Eureka vacuum, model CV160IF. It quit all together the other day. I removed the canister and it was VERY full. It has a cloth filter which I cleaned as best I could without removing it. It had tripped the breaker so I reset it and reset the unit and it came on. Now it only runs for about a minute, suction is great but it quits. I can tell there is still some fine dust inside the cloth filter. I put a platic bag around the bottom and tried to work as much of it out as possible but I can't get it all out and I'm not sure how the cloth filter comes out. All I can find on the Eureka website is there's some kind of ring that has to be removed and reinstalled properly but I haven't figured that out yet. I'm wondering if there's some sort of internal switch or resistor that may be gone instead. I'm going to keep trying to figure out how the filter comes out but thought I would do this at the same time. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

There is a relay in the system. Based on your description it sounds like yours is bad. The cloth filter is a big pain to remove. I would recommend burrowing a shop vac from a friend and cleaning it that way.

My Eureka won't pick up. I've checked the belsts

If this is a central vac with a hard plastic dirt reservoir, check the reservoir mounting gasket. If it leaks and sucks air, you won't get any pickup.

Sweeper suddenly quit

The Maxima line has problems with thermal shut off. If you have the bagless model get a new filter and that should improve the run time

I have a Eureka Whirlwind big cup bagless. How do I remove bottom

I had to lay the sweeper down as if I were going to sweep under a bed then on the top of the sweeper on either side is a screw, Mine had dirt in there so I didn't see them. Unscrew but don't remove the screws and then lift the cover off. You can down load a manual for free at the Eureka site http://www.eureka.com/customer-service

This unit has water in it? With a dry vacuum, there should never be water in it. I would say someone used it inappropriately, and would have it checked out at a service location.

How do I change belt on Eureka Capture

lay your vacuum completely on its back on the floor, like you are going to vacuum under a bed, then turn it over on its "belly", you should be able to see the bottom of the unit, where there are 2 small wheels ..... look where embedded in the plastic are #'s 1-4 there are 4 screw pockets, 2 in front and 2 in rear, those are deep, so you need a phillips screwdriver with a long skinny barrel to get in the deep pocket.remove those 4 screws, stand the unit upright, then grasp both sides of the "hood" of the unit remove the the plastic cover, you should see the belt on the right side as you face the vacuum. If the belt is broken, just pull up on the brushroll , removing it from the base. Clean any hair, thread, etc.. from the brushes, and ends , place new belt over the motor shaft (looks like a nail sticking out toward the back of the belt area) slide the brushroll through the other loop of belt in the belt groove, then slide the stop sign shaped end pieces in the grooves in base , pressing down until it is seated in place, gently turn the brushroll with fingers watching the belt making sure it is staying straight , then place the hood of vacuum back in place, make sure it fits correctly, recline handle again all the way down, roll vacuum over again to place screws back in bottom of unit.
