The ringers on our phones are off and we do not have the manuals as they are old. Can someone please tell me where to find the basic user manual and/or assist me in turning the ringers back on? Thank you.
I have an old Vtech 5.8GHZ digital spread spectrum. Please tell me how to turn off the ringer.

On the Presidian DECT 6.0, there is a screen near the top, with a ring centered beneath. If you press on the top or bottom of the ring, you will make the phone ringer louder or quieter. The display will also show you a volume bar as you make this selection. When you are done, press the button in the center of the ring.
The volume control adjusts the handset, hands free, headset, and ringer volume. Someone may have fiddled with the buttons and turned the ringer down enough that it doesn't sound when a call is incoming.
On most of the phones you just keep pushing the volume down button untill it turns off. On some models there is a "Do not disturb" feature, usually it is a soft key feature so look on the LCD screen. Also, for the person that can't turn the ringer back on, just push the volume up key untill the ringer is at the level you like.
Hi Michelle, you did not say whici phone system you have but I find most of my older manuals at www.wedophones.com. Once you get to the site click on manuals in the upper right side, scroll down to find Samsung, click on Samsung, scroll down to find your system manual and you can save a copy on your computer for future reference. Good Luck. .....Mike
goto the name and hit store it will restore the name and when going threw the store process it should show you old parameters
or goto phonebook find name and edit its preferences for that name phone ringers are set ringers so when you pick one for gereral use thats going to be the general use ringer but special ringers is what i descriped in first part
menu handset setup then ringers for a general ringer you can change to a more pleasing ringer but over all cant turn off
You can download the manual for a very similar phone, the KX-TG2302 at http://service.us.panasonic.com/OperMan/findmanual.aspx?cat=TEL and you can figure out all the features of a KX-TG2303. The simple answer is: while you are not using the phone, press the up or down volume button and it should turn the ringer back on. To turn the ringer back off, press and hold the down volume button until you hear two beeps. You can adjust the volume while the phone is ringing. The manual will tell you how to change your ringer tones, etc.
