I'm not sure exactly if this is what you're looking for, but if you're
trying to program a new keyfob remote, follow these steps:
Turn the key in the ignition from off to run
8 times within 10 seconds. You'll hear the door locks cycle (lock and
unlock) three times to confirm that the car is in learning mode.
Within 20 seconds, press any button on your keyfob. The locks will cycle again to confirm.
Repeat step two with any additional keyfobs you wish to program.
Turn the ignition off. The locks will cycle again to confirm the end of programming mode.
As for the alarm type, you would probably want to contact Ford and ask them. As for the door pad, while you're on the phone with Ford you'll need to get the factory door code. You might be lucky and find it written somewhere in/on the car or inside the book that came with the car, unless the new owner got rid of it.
Press and hold the "f" for 8 seconds to access the remote programming features. The remote will emit one long beep and the LEDs will illuminate. Press the unlock button to access the remote programming features. Two transmit LEDs will flashes and two beeps indicate the remote programming features are accessed. Press the lock button on the remote( LED on indicates auto locking on, LED off indicates auto locking off). Press and release "f" button to exit programming.
if thats the picture of the transmitter to program it you have to : turn the ignition to on position. press and release the programming switch 3 times... press and hold, for 3 seconds, the buttonof the transu wish to add until the parking lights flash. this would mean the transmitter has been learned. repeat step 3 for each transmitter... turn the ignition off to exit the program mode..
do not let 15 seconds pass between steps.
There is an excellent step by step guide at this web site:
Even though it shows a Sorento, your Sedona should be the same. Just look for the black plastic box under the hood marked "Diagnostics" and follow the rest of the steps. ** WARNING ** You are putting your car's computer into programming mode when doing this. Proceed at your own risk and follow the guide EXACTLY.
Re-programming Key Fobs By Redzman Tools Needed:
1 or 2 OEM Key Fobs.
1.5 foot of electrical wire, with ends stripped, approximately 22 gauge. (Jumper Wire).
Open the hood of your SUV.
Behind the battery on the drivers side is a plastic covered connector labeled Diagnostics.
Open the plastic cover on the Diagnostics port by pulling up on the edge near the FRONT of the vehicle.
Get your prepped/stripped jumper wire and place one end in connector 6 as shown in the pictures.
Run the other end of the jumper wire to the POSITIVE terminal on your battery, you can just push it into the little opening on there so it stays in place for a few minutes.
Get into your vehicle with your key fobs.
Put one key into your ignition and turn to ON position, DO NOT start your vehicle.
If you just have ONE key fob to reprogram, when you turn the vehicle to ON, hold the LOCK button down for 3 seconds, the lights on the dash will go off, and you are done. Turn the key off, disconnect the wire, and try the key fob.
If you have TWO key fobs to reprogram, turn the key to ON, hold the first LOCK button for 1 second, then the second one for 1 second. Turn the key off after the lights on the dash go off and remove the jumper wire. Test both Key Fobs.
1. Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn the switch to the ON position. 2. Press and hold the Unlock button on the transmitter between four and ten seconds. 3. continue to hold the unlock button and press the Panic button. A chime will sound to indicate that the transmitter programming mode has been entered. 4. Press a button on all transmitters to be programmed to the system, including any previously programmed transmitters. A chime will sound when each transmitter has been programmed. 5. Turn the ignition switch off to exit the transmitter programming mode."
